How many episodes are there in the first season? I wanted the final reveal of Tyler to be called "What the VOQ?"
More like literally take someone's hand. As in amputate or cut off. From everything everyone seen in this season, does everyone really think it's going to something pedestrian as a marriage.
There are hands attempting to meet in the title graphics. Always figured that was going to show at some point.
The last title is particularly interesting given the hands in the title sequence of the show. When the titles were first released, I remember people commenting on the strange "Creation of Adam" reference. But I always perceived the two hands reaching out to be a symbol of like but different beings striving to reach accord. Sort of fits with the final episode title.
"Will You Take My Hand" sounds like a death flag for Stamets, if we are to connect the Beatles reference to that offhand mention to his uncle so far. I am officially afraid for him
How is it a Beatles reference? The Beatles song is "I Wanna Hold Your Hand." Google lists a few songs with the lyric "Will you take my hand" in them, but none of them are Beatles songs. There's a recent song called "Start a Riot" by the Banners that includes the line, in the context of the singer saying they would start a riot or burn the city down to protect their loved one. (Lyrics here.) There's also a rather repetitive one called "Make a Shadow" by Meg Myers (lyrics here), but I can't quite figure out what it's saying beyond maybe wanting to be a kid again and play shadow puppets. There's also Emitt Rhodes' "Mary Will You Take My Hand," which is just a happy cheerful song about impending nuptials. Of the three, I'd say "Start a Riot" is the most likely one to be the intended reference in a Discovery episode.
Oh I inferred @Snowy Road 's post joke that it would be a Beatles tribute episode implied that it was the exact name to a song. To be honest, I don't know anything about the Beatles ^^; Deathflag somewhat cautiously retracted.
Vaulting ambition is from the "If it where done when tis done, twere well it were done quickly" speech in Macbeth. He basically is trying to drum up the courage to assassinate Duncan, but nearly talks himself out of it. Is there going to be an attempted assassination (for example, to derail peace talks with the Klingons) or...another mutiny? (something I know a lot of us have speculated about, if Lorca's desire/need to remain captain of the Discovery becomes a threat to the safety of the crew)
10 Despite Yourself The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. Someone completely abandons who they are. Who though? 11 The Wolf Inside Spoiler: the most popular fan theory Ash meets tribble. 12 Vaulting Ambition OK, that's more the needs of the many... But I think it's about Burnham this time. 13 What's Past Is Prologue Time travel. I win. Told you so. 14 The War Without The War Within Spoiler: the most popular fan theory Ash/Voq internal struggle begins to settle. 15 Will You Take My Hand?
