If he committed these acts he should be held accountable. But it's questionable that these accusations all turn up when his name is in the news related to his career. Usually when a new film is in production or close to release.
Wow. With all the news of sexual misconduct in the entertainment and media industries lately, one might think, oh great, another one. But no, this is still disturbing.
The industry has always been well-known regarding "sex for favors like appearing in a show", but pedophilia... Nobody seemed to care 20 years ago and regular folk knew about a lot of it as well. What do people expect to happen as a result of all this brouhaha in Hollywood, et al?
If the accusations are true, it's perhaps like with Anthony Rapp and Kevin Spacey and the victim's feelings of disgust that Singer is still lauded in his industry that prompts them to say something.
Which brings me to my next question. There is a movie called Call Me by Your Name, starring Armie Hammer. It's a romance story involving a 17 year old boy and an older guy. Shouldn't it be under scrutiny?

It depends on the law and where one lives, I suppose. In some cultures, young girls have had to marry older men, which doesn't make it right, but that's their tradition. I just brought up this movie because it's about a relationship that's not typically accepted in America.

17 is legal in most of the USA. So a WILLING 17 year old dating a WILLING 29 year old is completely different than a 32 year old DA molesting an UNWILLING 14 year old. I dated a 20 year old at 31 and I dated an 18-19 year old at 28-29. That's LEGAL. I can't believe I have to explain this to adults but it's 2017. In court they are all innocent until proven guilty, but this isn't a trial. Your employer can fire you if they looked into things and don't approve with your actions. I worked at Lowes and toward many horrible costumers told them to go to Home Depot. That was a fireable offense. In court though I would have freedom of speech, but that's limited in the work place.
I didn't know about the age of consent in Italy. I also thought being a minor was anyone under the age of 18. Pardon my ignorance.
