Flat Earther to Launch Rocket Proving Earth is not Round

Ah, the modern version of the nutter on the bus syndrome.

Except now we don't have to sit next to them but it seems like there are gazillions of them filling the Internet with various forms of utter nutter nonsense that drives me to despair.

 

The very fact that this nutter thinks he needs a rocket is just a clear indication of how STUPID and IGNORANT the fellow is.

Actually, all you need to do is let him put his own video camera on a high altitude weather balloon, opposite the other video camera mounted on the rig. Let it ride up. And in less than an hour, the curvature of the Earth will be clear, identical for BOTH cameras. A curvature indicative of a globe, not a disk. And if he still froths up in denial over that, then award him a sanitarium commitment and take this frigging Neanderthal out of society. People like him only detract and drain, never give anything worthwhile.

 

Wouldn't they just put down any issues to atmospheric conditions, imperfections in the lens of the camera etc..After all they couldn't admit to being wrong now could they?

Actually, I expect what they'll do is mount a special lens on their camera, a kind of slightly inverted fish eye lens, to help "flatten out" the curvature. So that way the recording will show what they'll claim as the "REAL" appearance and deride the other camera as having been tampered with. Of course, one would then easily disprove that by sourcing videos from all over the world, ALL showing a consistent representation of the globally induced curvature of the Earth. Nobody ever succeeds in a conspiracy that neatly perfect in consistency. Impossible. Undeniable proof.

Of course, the other thing would be that INSPECTION of the flat-Earther's camera would be in order, and the "corrective lens" attachment would be revealed. That would also be undeniable.

Relative to homo sapiens of the time, yes. But it's just an easy, convenient way to compare a present day humanoid to that of one from a very primitive time.

Why is only the Earth flat? All the Flat-Earthers have to do is get a telescope and they can see other planets in our system and the moon in the sky and every other single one is round-ish. Yet the Earth is flat? How does that make any sense whatsoever?

It is a well known fact that NASA are a blackbag operation of the CIA, they have been for years, and all you are seeing here are movie effects produced from NASA, who are actually nothing more than a movie effects company set up by the CIA in 69 with the help of kubrick, who had already helped to stage the 69 moon landings, and was a well known figure around the CIA headquarters along with Elvis in the mid 60s and 70's, hell Kubrick was so in the know that he was even trolling the people of this planet when he put the monoloith in 2001, which is basically the actual shape of the earth, all the evidence has been there for years, people just do not wnat to listen, but they will, once this guy who does not believe in science, launches his none scicence developed rocket, built and fueled by non science stuff, into the sky.

It's quite possible for something to be both round & flat, you know...

 

Let's assume he meant spheroidal rather than round. We can observe all those bodies rotating about an axis except our moon, which is tidally locked but whose libration reveals some detail of the far side.

 

Of course if we wanted to nit pick we could say the earth is not actually round, but rather roundish with bumps and dents over it with all the water making it look more oval than it actually is.......if we were nit picking.
