Actually not. Only 6 of the 9 episodes have the war at the centre of the story. Episode 3 "Context is For Kings" introduces the Discovery and deals with hat went wrong on the Glenn, Episode 6 "Lethe" revolves about finding Sarek in time and Episode 7 "Magic to Make the Sanest Man Go Mad" is about Mudd trying to get control of the ship. None of those stories are dependent of the war going on in the background.

That's 2/3 with the war at the front of the story. The others revolve around the situation the war has put them in. So, yeah. Pretty much all of them. :nyah:

(Psst! But Axanar is excellent and Discovery is idiotic and awful hehehehe) And where is the Edit Post button? I've never seen a web-forum that didn't have an Edit button, and I've seen many over many years. This is a first for me! So where is that Edit Post button, hm?

I'm pretty sure you don't have access to the edit function until you post enough or have been here a while. I forget the exact numbers. 2 weeks, maybe? 10 days? I forget. And maybe 25 posts? 50 posts? Something relatively low. Just hang in there and your edit capabilities shall appear.

Although, I also personally found that strange to not have them immediately. I'm not sure what advantage there is in withholding them.

It limits what trolls and spammer can do. One has to earn the rights to those items by posting enough to prove that they aren't here just to make trouble.

Items? Plural? I don't know about other functions, and I understand wishing to limit trolls and spammers, but I'm not sure what the inability to edit their own message could really do that would make them more trollish or would allow them to spam more.

But if you've actually seen it in actual practice, that's enough for me and I'll accept the MODS have their reasons.

Regardless, it's only a short while, and yeah, you're only likely to acquire those abilities if you're the sort of Trek fan who will hang around for more than a week and not just some fly-by-night poster. Hang in there, Strangerhand. It'll happen before you know it.

The way this poster is going something else may happen first, that renders the discussion, moot. Just sayin'

Ah. Well, even then, I can't clearly envision what dastardly thing he could do with "edit".

Maybe later claim he didn't say something offensive since he edited it away? That's about the worst I can think of.

I don't recall. Is the "delete" function also something withheld in the beginning? IIRC, one was supposed to state a reason why the post was to be deleted, and I suspected a copy might be kept elsewhere, but I dunno.

Besides the edit button, a new user can't use private messages.
