Ever Wonder Why They Didn't Do This in "The Gamesters of Triskelion"?

Wouldn't the sensible approach be to redraw just the floor? That is, apply a new, nicely uniform and simple floor color to those bits where Kirk's foot inconveniently falls, but only in those shots where it happens, so that the floor pattern in theory ends up looking different in different shots but nobody really notices.

Heck, if the exact texture turned out too difficult to reproduce faithfully, just choose an all-new, scientifictionally uniform and bright color... Thus better matching the brains!

Was that a John Agar movie? If so then I probably haven't seen it before!

Bingo, JB. John Agar uses a hatchet at the end to split the brain from planet Arous in two. :ack:

It's the American version of Eric Idle, Gene Wilder. :)

When you realize that all the combatants, including Shahna at the end, had toes and heels landing outside their assigned color, it's no stretch to assume it was allowed. Combat situations are never neat and tidy, and it makes sense that anything other than flagrant stepping or otherwise landing in the opponent's color was permitted. That's been my headcanon for the battle for as long as I can remember.

This is the episode I instantly get in my head whenever people bemoan the 3rd season. My theory has been that a lot of fans forget which ep. was in which season, and probably guess this one was s3. Anyway... it's a sow's ear, not worth fine tuning. There are bigger things wrong than a foot on a wrong color space.

And ass kicking is what Kirk did best. Well, after bedding down alien women

Honestly, I'm more bothered by the futurisitic space Grape Nehi energy drink that Shahna gives to Kirk

Every time Kirk falls for another Trek babe, I slap my forehead and say "Oh, no. Captain Kirk's in love again." :brickwall:

Actually the number of times Kirk had sex during the original series is rather overstated. Regarding alien women he was married to one (The Paradise Syndrome) basically forced by one (Wink of an Eye), manipulated by another (Mark of Gideon).

:guffaw:It was pretty ridiculous wasn't it? Kirk falls head over heels in love practically at the drop of a hat. Maybe he should have commanded the USS Horndog

Yeah but even in the cases where he didn't actually sleep with them, you know he wanted to.

Well, I guess it was part of his character and it did add some spice to the show. Although Shatner said that Kirk was based on an idealized version of himself. Shatner, The Love God???

Some have pointed out that Chekov took the time to bind and gag Tamoon but Kirk simply cold cocked Shahna.

...and I thank Chekov for doing that. :) The love scenes between Chekov and Tamoon are horrific. :ack:
