Thanks mates. I've been getting the general shapes from screen caps of the "Battle of Binary Stars" and any released art for the show. I then "devolve" those shapes to something a bit more sensible IMO. I do, absolutely love the ships as they are in the show (again, from what I have been exposed to), but as I've said before, they do not fit for the era and universe that they are being portrayed for('though I admit, I have not seen the show outside of the part one of the premiere, and thus my ignorance is great in this matter). But if nothing else, you guys get some new ships out of it Yeap.
These are fantastic! Your command cruiser reminds me a little of the Decepticon Astrotrain and Colonial One - in a good way, of course.
Awesome concepts Chris! Incomparable better than the style of those "arcade" klingon ships from Discovery
Thanks everyone. What's a hybrid tech ship? Direct Link: https://s33.postimg.org/62bsg0j8f/Klingon_TOS_Armouredcruiser_00.jpg
I believe Kaiser is referring to the more organic-looking Fed ships for which you are renowned. I personally want to see more of these! So few people ever venture outside the SF box of designs and these have been just stellar.
Generally, a Q-Ship is a merchant ship with disguised weapons, or a warship designed to look enough like a merchie to fool pirates - either way, so that pirates and other hostile forces that want to attack your commerce don't realize how SCREWED they are until they commit to an attack. They're a real world thing, but there's no logical reason that the idea wouldn't be continued into a spacefaring future (or that aliens like Klingons wouldn't come up with the same concept) (or even if that spacefaring future was the Manticorian Navy of the Honor Harrington novels, which is where I learned about them from ).
