This thread will easily go another 81 pages and hit 1707. Why, the combination Thanksgiving pie contest and holiday extravaganza has gotta be good for at least 30.

And as God as my witness I hope we see Garth in Discovery.

Based on previous comments, I think RMB wanted to direct axanar to get the feature film on his resume. With no feature film I don't think he really wanted to direct axanar-lite.

Yeah he is though I expect that is just to get a good mailing list for the orville fan film fundraiser (which I expect him to do). In fact he is already hinting at a big announcement coming soon which could be him moving to an orville film

The day he psoted pictures of the meeting with Bill is the day Bill told AP he was leaving, but LFIM didn't include that informailng in his blog posts and let people think he was still involved (kinda like Tony Todd)

I'm not commenting on their personal lives, I'm making an observation. So far, money (which is almost always finite) seems to be the only thing that is keeping this never-delivered product afloat and only thing that is prolonging LFIM's hypocrical preying on uninformed fans. To me, if it dries up, this all comes to an end and it's game over.

(We can hope that he'd end up in jail or in serious legal trouble, which would stop it too, but the likelihood of that is still nil unfortunately)

Maybe they'll just switch Axanar over to an Orville fan film instead. I kind of hope he does, and then also ends up getting himself sued by Fox and/or Fuzzy Door Productions (Seth McFlane's production company). I wonder how many different companies he could get himself sued by? He could then change it to Star Wars or MCU and get himself sued by Disney, or even better do both and get himself sued by Disney twice. Does WB own any sci-fi franchises other that DC?

Ran across this interesting little tidbit. Another group in Georgia, people Alec knows, decided to open their own soundstage for hire just 20 minutes away from “OWC Studios.” It appears these guys got the key to a warehouse twice the size of OWC Studios in mid August (months *after* Alec’s studio move to Georgia) and got their place up and running and in business with a nice big green screen in a matter of weeks. Alec even mentioned them in a blog about a month ago.

Meanwhile, at OWC Studios? Well, Alec did recently have an open house where the handful of people who showed up were charged 10 bucks a head for a hotdog and an opportunity to take a photo on the still unfinished bridge set. Beyond that, crickets. Big win?

    Sorry, but I'm busy.

Oh, you meant the character with the same name.

The best LFIM/LLAP could do at this point is sell off the unfinished sets and move on to the next money grab. The worst he could do is yet to be seen, because he outdoes himself at every turn.

It's unfortunate for his victims, but damned entertaining for us. :techman:

By the way, the Prelude redux/redaction is pretty good. Much better without those beady eyes and the bad acting. :techman:

Somehow I doubt Fox would be as merciful as CBS/P was.

By Alec's own standards, the studio should have abandoned the property for a decade, many years after another cycle has passed of a child growing up being woken up to watch Orville. Any less would not qualify as proving ones "true fandom", thus giving license to crowdfund a million dollar fan film.

Somehow I doubt Fox would leave him with a screen used self sealing stem bolt of a collection. Or shoes in which to walk home from court.

Study Alec? Maybe...but only because it would take 2 minutes to diagnose him and they could still charge for the full hour.

Either that or the therapist's head would explode trying to analyze all the contradictions and other bullshit that spews forth out of his mouth and hits the floor.
