Where is Center City? We're about an hour south of Philadelphia and about an hour north of Baltimore. And about forty-five minutes away from Wilmington, DE. Amish country, basically.
Shore Leave is rapidly approaching. It'll be the 7th to the 9th of July at the Hunt Valley Inn in Cockeysville, Maryland (just north of Baltimore) like usual. Besides Marina Sirtis and Michael Dorn, there to celebrate the 30th anniversary of TNG, the following Trek authors past and present will be there: Rigel Ailur Lorraine Anderson Derek Tyler Attico Christopher L. Bennett John Coffren Greg Cox Peter David Keith R.A. DeCandido Michael Jan Friedman Dave Galanter Robert Greenberger Glenn Hauman David Mack Scott Pearson Aaron Rosenberg Melissa Scott Dayton Ward Howard Weinstein Richard C. White Steven H. Wilson Meet the Pros will be happening Friday night like usual, and Peter, MJF, and Bob will be ending the con with Mystery Trekkie Theatre 3000 also like usual. Plus lots of stuff in between. So come on by and say hello!
Might be a little early yet, but any other authors going to be at GenCon this year? I'll be there supporting Modiphius on the Star Trek Adventures RPG that I have a large hand in, and I'd be happy to sign the SNW and MU anthologies I had stories in. Or just stop by the booth and say hi and check out the cool Trek swag that'll be for sale. Would love to catch up with fans and other Trek writers.
Aaron Rosenberg and I will be at GenCon, taking part in its Writers Symposium across the skywalk bridge in the Westin.
Comic-Con International: Sand Diego, which is probably one of, if not the biggest pop culture conventions in the world is next weekend. I don't know if any Trek authors will be there, but I'm pretty sure there will be a panel for Discovery.
I don't think it's been mentioned on here yet, but David Mack, Dayton Ward, Kevin Dilmore, and Kirsten Beyer will all be at signing books, and I think doing a panel, at the Vegas convention. Several non-novel writers will also be there, Mike Johnson, IDW's main Kelvinverse writer, and the writer of the Discovery comic, Treknology writer Ethan Siegel, and Fun with Kirk and Spock and Redshirt's Little Book of Doom writer Robb Pearlman.
Here is the current schedule of Star Trek author signings this week at Star Trek Las Vegas 2017. All signings are slated to take place in the Away Mission Booth located in the Vendors' Room (Amazon Hall). DAVID MACK Thursday 8/3 at 3pm KEVIN DILMORE Thursday 8/3 at 4pm DAYTON WARD Friday 8/4 at 10am ETHAN SIEGEL Friday 8/4 at 11am ROBB PEARLMAN Friday 8/4 at Noon KIRSTEN BEYER Friday 8/4 at 1pm For more information about the convention, see its schedule.
On Saturday Aug. 19, I will be speaking then signing at 2 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Roseville, Minnesota (Minneapolis/St. Paul).
I will be signing copies of Star Trek: Discovery – Desperate Hours at NYCC in the Simon & Schuster pavilion, on Friday, October 6th, at 2pm.
I have three signing events over the next three weeks, in three different (but adjacent) states. This Saturday, October 28, from 10 AM – 4 PM, I’ll be one of the guests at Books by the Banks at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Also, next Wednesday, November 1 at 7-9 PM, I’ll be signing books at the Huntington Woods Public Library in Huntington Woods, Michigan, just outside of Detroit (near the Detroit Zoo). And on Veteran's Day (Saturday, Nov. 11), I'll be signing at LibraryCon, an SF/fantasy-themed library event at the Erlanger branch of the Kenton County Public Library in Erlanger, Kentucky (near the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport).
I'm speaking and then signing Tuesday, December 5 at 6 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Appleton, Wisconsin, a release event for my latest Star Wars book, Canto Bight.
It will be updated - there just hasn't been anything to list yet. But since I'm here and thinking about it, I'll change the title.
