Timescape: Troi indulges in some casual racism on a DS9 set, and then some wibbly wobbly timey wimey.

The Next Phase: Geordi finally finds a way to get a girl to hang around with him for a while

The First Duty: Picard finds out the academy gardener knows more about academy malfeasance than an entire inquiry panel

Emergence: The Enterprise has a baby & nobody knows who the little bastard's father is

Unnatural Selection: Doctor Pulaski takes a completely unnecessary risk for a major plot device. Picard stupidly destroys the USS Lantree, because he's apparently never heard of "decontamination" or "baryon sweep" by this point.

What... When she's imitating the interspecies mating ritual guy? That's Irish?

The scientist was alien (a Ktarian, IIRC), not Irish.

Let's just say, if she used that accent in our local pub, she wouldn't need to be an empath to sense the smack in the gob.

Troi was imitating Dr. Mizan, that's all. If Mizan happens to speak with an Irish accent (hell, maybe he learned English there), then that's his problem, not Troi's. I mean, seriously, whether it's Troi imitating Mizan, or Picard imitating Dr. Vassbinder...how is that racist? We're talking about specific people here, not entire races.

Now Fair Haven / Spirit Folk, on the other hand...

    The High Ground.

Beverly aids a bunch of murderous terrorists. Data predicts BREXIT will lead to terrorism reuniting Ireland 7 years from now. Also some of the same music as in Best of Both worlds part 1, so I suspect the Borg are involved.

Lower Decks - We get to see what a drag it is to have a career in Starfleet, an organisation that doesn't even pay you salary.

EDIT - Also, if you completely screw up your studies in Starfleet Academy, the captain of the Federation flagship requests you to his ship, a ship where everyone in the academy wants to serve.

Planet Scotland FFS and not a council estate in sight. Caber tossing, midges, deep fried mars bars and cans of iron bru all round. Bev takes the family candle and her grandma's erotic diary to bed and finds herself in a sticky situation.
    Aliens!

    Eta: Sub Rosa.

Family - Captain Picard gets into a fistfight with his brother. They make up with some drinking songs.

Brothers - For some reason, Data's evil twin doesn't have a beard. Lore learned how to shave?
Perhaps that's in the deleted scenes, writers commentary or directors cut?
