I was able to watch them via On Demand, and sadly the third is only available on that channel at this time.

That kind of thing has been going on for years. Read about how the old Laurel and Hardy movies were butchered by editors and Stan Laurel himself wanted to do the work for them but they said no to him.

Spider-Man: Homecoming. A lot of fun. I prefer the first two Maguire films though.

Bridge of Spies - I especially liked the depiction of tension between the DDR and Soviet Union apparatchiks as well as the western Cold-War paranoia. However, Rudolf Abel (aka William Fisher from Newcastle-upon-Tyne) should probably have had a Geordie accent rather than a Scottish one.

The Descent (2005) - Bleak and claustrophobic cave-dwelling with some strong character moments.

I just saw "Whiplash" a few hours ago and it was a great drama about what it takes to be the best at what you want to do. Both characters are kind of cold emotionally but very determined about what they want and don't back down even if it means they are jerks to other people.

Not even "Nine Lives" by Kevin Spacey? You haven't seen Spacey at his best until you see him voicing a cat.

No, I already lived when I saw Jack Palance fondle a mannequin in an episode of "Ripley's Believe it or Not!". He looked very happy about it, too.

Annabelle: Creation. Not a masterpiece, but it served its purpose for having a pleasant evening.

Today has been a kid movie day. We watched Nanny McPhee Returns this morning, and we are currently watching How to Train Your Dragon.

Saw "The Road" again. It might be the only movie ever to not even have one single joke in it. It's good but a little to artsy for the sake of being artsy. The characters feel like symbols more than like real people.

My Little Pony: The Movie (2017). It was fun and as a Trekkie, it was a joy to hear Zoe Saldana sing!

Not the best 'robots or us'-film I've ever seen, but it has great cinematography and an acceptable amount of human drama and is well worth your time -unless you want loads of explosions and whatnot to enjoy a film.
