I read a customer review of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Complete Series" in which the buyer said it's not complete. He bought it through Best Buy (the Canadian site) and said "This release is NOT complete. Various story lines and single titles are not included, some of which are my favs. I feel misused as a long time fan. Complete should be complete and not what someone at Paramount thinks we should have. Am not exactly a happy camper. I also noticed that Voyager yearly releases were also missing titles." This box set was released this year. Does anyone have it and can confirm that it is complete? He also said Voyager seasons are incomplete. Is he right?

He should have been more specific. Exactly which episodes does he claim are missing?

And if he bought the set from Best Buy, why doesn't he just RETURN it?

There are fraudulent DS9 DVD releases; perhaps that person got one of those.

I bought my DVD set from a US seller through Amazon about 2008 and it's complete... at least I've never seen any references to any episodes that aren't there...

Yes, if the buyer with an incomplete set got it from Best Buy, just return it.

The 2016 DVD re-release is indeed complete.

Thanks but you mean 2017. The date is 02-07-2017. Individual seasons and "The Complete Series" all have the same release date. The originals are dated 06-03-2003.

All Trek "Complete Series" releases are complete...except bootlegs and faulty copies.

Prophets, was it really this year? It's been one of the longest and shortest years ever.

Honestly, I find this hard to believe. Entire "story lines" and episodes are missing? But they don't say which ones?

    Maybe he's confusing DS9 with Babylon-5? :)

The 2017 re-release just reuses the 2003 DVD masters. So how it is missing episodes doesn’t make sense. Because that would mean episodes were missed 14 years ago.

And I see on Amazon that some is questioning how CBS:Paramount could release something with the image quality that the dvds have in the 4K era.

Well the sets had been out of print for a few years before the 2017 reissues. But to save money CBS just reused the glass masters that Paramount has made up.
