I just finished watching The Void again. Even though I knew how it ended, every time they were trying to get out and you could see that little patch of stars- whew! I was holding my breath and crossing my fingers.

In all their time stranded so far from home, no other episode has ever instilled such a feeling of claustrophobia and helplessness in me. Anyone else get what I mean?

I enjoy this epidoe. It kind of shows you the whole point of what Starfleet is about. Working together for the greater good. And I always love those aliens with their pads and their musical conversations.

They were adorable weren't they? Would have been interesting to know how they survive in the void, especially if they were native to it.

As for it showing the point of Starfleet, that's why I love the ending with Janeway's comment. And the scene of all the ships flying off together.

This is one of my favourites too. I especially like when Voyager ready to take on the fight alone (dead in the water in three minutes) that Garon comes to their aid. There's a sense of loneliness about Voyager being stranded having to fend for herself and to have support and help was good to see.

One of the episodes that always makes me think, "This is what the show should be more often!"

I've always been curious as to whether all those Babylon 5 references were intentional, and whose idea it was to put them in...

This was a favorite of mine for season 7.

This episode makes reality the finsl words of Janeway in season 2's "ALLIANCES", and proves they were correct words.

Just watched this today and enjoyed it a lot. It immediately reminded me of two things: 1.) "Night", season 5 episode 1, of course, but also 2.) the TAS episode "Time Trap". In all the Trek I've watched in the last few months, nothing has reminded me of a TAS episode! I wonder if it was a direct inspiration.

Easily one of my favorite Voyager episodes. The rare combination of great concept and great execution.

I was impressed with all the exterior shots of this episode. And yes, I too got caught up with the emotions of wanting them to succeed.

I think the mental issues that the crew was having seemed a bit forced. Anyone who was that claustrophobic and scared of empty space probably wouldn't have signed up to serve on a space ship... Either way they spend a ton of time on that ship with no one else but the crew. If it was a shuttle or similar and there was only one or two people on-board that might be different.

I don't think that would have an impact on joining star fleet. Once in a while they may have to cral through a jeffreys tube but for the most part they're hardly ever in a tight space or out in empty space.

I loved Fantome and his friends. He was played by Jonathan Del Arco, who played Hugh Borg. And they were crucial to Voyager and their allies escaping the void.

I did too. The scene of his band with the Doctor in the halls was very nice.

It's basically a summary of Federation philosophy and hopes while seeking to epitomize Voyager's path through the DQ and its positive impact on the DQ.
