My niece has many dogs and she brought one over for me and my mom to watch while she and my other nieces went to a football game and we didn't really have anything to feed him. For some reason my mom tried a waffle cut up into pieces and he ate it! I should not this is a puppy and not a adult age dog. I always thought the only thing that dogs would eat is meat, cheese, peanut butter and chocolate and even out of thaat list you shouldn't ever go with cheese because it will give them the runs and chocolate will make them sick or worse. Is their anything else unusual that dogs will eat? I once saw a cat, eat a tomato but that is about it as far as I have ever personally noticed any animals eating strange food unless you count me eating dog food once as a kid and paint also as a kid. Jason
You shouldn't feed a dog anything but food made for dogs, or in a pinch, just meat products. Processed foods are extremely harmful to a dog's liver--especially chocolate. It's doesn't just make them sick. Dogs cannot metabolize theobromine; it can kill them. Dogs are natural omnivores. They will eat anything, but that doesn't mean you should feed them anything.
When I was younger and didn't know any better I fed my cousin's dog marshmallows. He loved them and he just gobbled them up. I wouldn't do that now. Kor
I told my mom about feeding him tuna but for some reason she thought only cats would eat tuna. I'm kind of surprised by how little meat we have in the fridge because I like eating things like hamburgers, chicken etc. Isn't dog food also processed food? Only thing know what goes into it I admit is the cliche of how they turn horses into dog food but I don't even know if that is true or was ever true. Jason
I've seen dogs eat feces. I've seen a small pack of people's lovable pet pooches tearing into the roadkill carcass of a deer. I bet faces were licked after that.
If you died and they were locked in an apartment with your body they would eventually eat you. Yes even your cute 'lil cavalier poodle mashup thing. So waffles, pfft
My grandma feed her dog human food all the time, mostly little bits of chicken, peas, carrots, spaghetti and meatballs... The only dog food he ate was Milk Bones. He lived to be 19.
Our dog was rather fond of trying to get chocolate (though we never gave it her) She also had a hankering for coffee(again, we didn't let her get at that either, but she did try).
I'm curious why dogs were created by nature to eat things that will kill them like chocolate. Seems like a mistake that serves no function. Then again I wonder if the human pimple or mole serves any function yet we can get them. Jason
Nature didn't make dogs or chocolate, people did. I mean, not completely literally in both cases, but you know what I mean.
My dogs' (yes, plural) favorite treat is carrots, raw, right out of the fridge. One of them also likes bell peppers. And Italian salad dressing.
