I was shocked to see on my Facebook feed an announcement by James Cawley on the passing of Greg Schnitzer, former producer for Star Trek: New voyages and Phase 2, but also close at home as the moderator for this section of Trek BBS. hopefully a more official message will come our way, but personally speaking Greg served as moderator with dignity and distinction. He will be missed.
I saw the announcement as well this morning. Was waiting on Admins to make a posting here. Such a shame Greg was always a great guy when I interacted with him.
I only met him once when we worked on an episode of New Voyages, but he was a warm, welcoming guy. He was also a fellow nurse as well as a fan. My condolences to his friends and family. Gone far too soon. RIP Greg.
He was a good guy. He even bought the starshipexeter.com domain name when it accidentally lapsed and just handed it over to us. Alas, poor Greg.
So sorry to read this. Always struck me as very fair and even person, especially during the whole Axanar debacle at its height. What a loss.
I truly am shocked and saddened. Greg always worked hard to be fair and even handed. He did a great job here and I miss him already.
RIP dear friend. You were a gentleman and your intimate knowledge of Trek will be missed. You passing has left a hole in the community that will never be filled.
I will do a board-wide announcement later today, when I get back home. Shocking and sad news. He was a good guy.
