The fake news media is blaming the Stormtroopers for the battle of Endor. Yet no one is talking about the violent Ewoks. Why?
One of the old EU novels dealt with Luke travelling to Coruscant or someplace and seeing the Imperial slant on the destruction of the Ore Extraction Station or something. It sobered him, as it pointed out he had killed millions and millions of people.
I'm saying the same thing here that I did in the Luke Skywalker/Mass Murderer thread: All sides are to blame. I botched it, though. I should have said: Many sides are to blame.
The Empire thinks destroying planets is OK. The Rebel Alliance thinks it is not OK. I am a centrist and cannot tell these positions apart.
Planets block starships views of stars. Starships are more important since they can move and planets are really really old, filthy and outdated. Therefore, they win.
Oh, the Purple Sabers, well they tend to defy authority, have their own powers turned on them...then "fall" out of very high buildings.
There actually is another side to the encounter-the Ewoks (although they had a tendency to eat people, including innocent people) and Imperials seemed to be leaving each other alone, then the Rebels got the Ewoks to rise against and fight them.
They became radicalised by a poisonous ideology that led them to improvise weapons to use against our way of life.
Let's not forget those "rebel" terrorists illegally occupied Hoth. One prominent leader in the organisation even mamed the local wildlife in his spare time, while another destroyed a government-owned drone that was on a peaceful fact-finding mission. Those sickos even sliced up their live stock to sleep inside the cadavers.
It's NOT okay that Sabine Wren ambushed and punched these poor Stormtroopers who were just walking along! At least, that's what the Emperor's prize propagandist says.
I am sooooooooooo disappointed when people root for Leia to shoot and kill Stormtroopers who are, as far as we can tell using nonlethal settings and trying to avoid violence in her detention, only desiring to reclaim stolen property.
