Sure, but not necessarily the same actors. They already have Blink played by a different actress than the Blink in Days of Future Past.

Then again, Legion has talked about getting Stewart or McAvoy to play Xavier, even though it's also in a separate reality. After all, if we're talking alternate timelines, they certainly could look the same in both versions. And sometimes characters have reprised the same role in different continuities, like Judi Dench as M.

The new trailer is considerably better than the first one because now I'm more interested beyond just Amy Acker.

I like the multiverse angle for the X-Men various projects (the main range, Deadpool, Legion, now The Gifted) although I can see the idea of of mixed casting occurring. Blink might be recast but perhaps Ian McKellan can still appear like James McAvoy or Patrick Stewart could appear in Legion. Who's to say the change of appearances have to be wholesale from universe to universe?

Indeed, we know that canonically from the X-Men movies, with the two timelines' different incarnations of characters like Angel and Jubilee. Of course all of the roles are recast, but the tag scene in Days of Future Past implies that the younger versions in the period movies grow up to look like the older versions from the first batch of movies, so that's just age recasting. Angel, Jubilee, and others are actually born much earlier in the new timeline than they were in the original.

The producers of The Gifted have once again addressed the show's relationship to the movies, and touched on a few other points over interest.
The fact that the X-Men are gone will be a big part of the story, and what happened to them is going to be one of the show's central mysteries. So they aren't going to just use that as an excuse for them not appearing then never mention them again, which to be honest is kind of what I was expecting.
They also addressed the show's similarities to Heroes and how it will differ from it.

Maybe they're living in the Australian outback, as they were post-Inferno in the 90's.

I think the show looks interesting, with a decent cast.

It confuses me that any comic book reader gets too obsessed with the need for perfect continuity when the comics themselves are rife with inconsistencies and shoddy attempts to reconcile them.

Enjoy it for what it is and don't get bogged down too much in the granular details.

A little less then two weeks until it airs. The reviews are by in large excellent and Fox has certainly opened the purse to the show and is betting that it is a breakout hit.

The advertising campaign is quite good as well.

Fox releases the first six minutes of the series set to air on Monday.

I went to a special screening of the episode yesterday and it was amazing the audience loved it Singer turned it into more of a mini movie then TV episode. The three top actors was Moyer, Amy Acker as the Struckers and Emma Dumont as Polaris.

Just watched the first 6 minutes, and it was really good. Have they said anything yet about whether or not this version of Polaris is Magneto's daughter?

    She is.

So that means that between Legion and this, we now have one X-Men-adjacent TV series involving Xavier's kid and another one involving Magneto's kid.

Is this going to more of the same old "grounded" stuff, instead of doing anything cool with the X-Men-on-screen like Outer Space or Limbo or anything?

Well, it is on a TV budget. And its focus seems to be on mutants fleeing government persecution.

So just more of the same. Oh well.
