Suzanne Pleshette from The Bob Newhart Show was my first childhood crush. Watching the show now, I still understand why; she was beautiful, funny, and had a sly wit. The terrible 70's hairstyles didn't do her any favors, but still, wow!

Flash forward to college when my roommate and I ditched our classes and drove down to Denver from Fort Collins on a Wednesday because Cindy Crawford was signing posters of her SI Swimsuit edition cover at a sporting goods store. We both stood there slack jawed and barely able to speak to her because she was so beautiful. So many things we wanted to say to her, but when our turn came in line, we had absolutely nothing.

Alyssa Milano was my first crush. I was 8, and she was on "Who's The Boss?"
    I fell in love. ♥

My second crush was the girl who lived down the street from me when I was 10. Her name was Sarah, and she wore huge purple eyeglasses (as was the style at the time), and had big, poofy curly hair (as was the style at the time). We were the best of friends for about 3 months, and then she moved away. I've not heard from her since.

My third childhood crush was in middle school. There was a boy who sat two desks away from me in math class, and he had the loveliest blond hair, and hazel eyes. ♥

Back in the '60s when we first got the British TV series The Avengers, I totally fell in love with Diana Rigg as Emma Peel. (Hell, everybody did.) Damn, that woman was gorgeous -- and devastatingly charming and witty to boot.

Have you seen her daughter, Kaia Gerber? She's practically a clone of her mom.

    Kylie Minogue.

Jenny Agutter (after seeing American Werewolf in London).

    Can't remember any more.

Depends, how do you define "crush"?

I think Jenny Agutter was the reason most boys in my middle school/high school watched American Werewolf in London, despite the excellent wolf-makeup. ;)

The first (and one of only 2 or 3) celebrity crushes I had was when I was 12 and had just gone through puberty: Simon Le Bon.... man he was smoking back in the 80s.

Before Jo Grant, I think perhaps Emma Peel played by Diana Rigg on The Avengers 1965-68. I was definitely prepubescent though so I didn't understand my feelings. Also Lee Meriwether as Catwoman in the 1966 Batman movie. Must have been the leather catsuits... :shifty:

At 7, my first crush was probably Kathy Coleman from Land of the Lost, but I didn't realize it was a crush at the time. All I knew was I really wanted to play with her.

    As I got older:
    Laurette Spang from Battlestar Galactica
Carrie Fisher from Star Wars, of course
Kirstie Alley as she was in TWOK
Liz Sagal who starred with her twin sister on a short lived sitcom, Double Trouble
Monica Creel who starred with her triplet sisters on a Disney TV sequel to The Parent Trap. I guess I liked lookalikes.

After that, I was no longer a teen, so I'll stop there.

Speaking of "Parent Trap" I also had a crush on Hayley Mills in that movie. I don't even think I understood it was just one person and I thought they were both real twins.

Pretty much the entire female cast of the 1993 "Emmanuelle" movies on Cinemax that co-starred George Lazenby.

    Me too! She was great.

A few years later, it was Debbie Harry. I tried to catch every TV show Blondie appeared on.

I had the Farrah poster. Probably still do, somewhere. She's beautiful, yes, but I always thought that the sexiest thing about it was that she signed it.

My earliest TV crush or whatever was Caroline Ellis (Joy).

I know I went through a Kathy Coleman (Holly) phase. A few years later after Farrah it was Maren Jensen (Athena). It was around that time that I discovered how much cooler actual girls were.

Debbie was a lot older than she ever looked in the late 70's-early 80's, but have you seen her now? 72 must be the new 42.

Who could forget the stir around her, but I never got into that one. For Charlie's Angels, I was for Kate Jackson all the way, and thought Cheryl Ladd was a big improvement.

I have seen Blondie a couple of times in the last few years and she is great. Her voice, maybe not what it once was, but she's still got "it."

Linda Ronstadt was mentioned above, and I was just watching her on a 1969 Glenn Campbell Goodtime Hour; she was so cute, she look like a teenager but with that incredible voice. She is dealing with Parkinsons now, but she is still brilliant and I respect her a lot.
