It has been revealed that the games division of The Imaginarium, the mo-cap studio run by Andy Serkis is working on a new Planet of the Apes game set in the universe of the current movie series. Rather than an action game, this will be an adventure game closer to the style of Telltale's or Quantic Dreams' games, with the gameplay being based around making decisions about the characters' actions. There will be no exploration or puzzles, and you will have no direct control over the characters.
The story is set a year after Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and follows a group of Apes who take off on their own to escape the war and end up in a human controlled valley in the Rocky Mountains.
It definitely sounds ambitious, so the big question is if they can actually pull it off. I'm a huge fan of the franchise, so I will definitely be keeping a close eye on this one.
EDIT: I just found a game play video on IGN, and it gives a much clearer video of how exactly the game works, and it looks great to me.
