Well, we did have the post credits scene from Dr. Strange, so technically we have seen footage with Dr. Strange. As for Odin, I'm thinking there's a pretty good chance he's basically the McGuffin, so I can see not wanting to spoiler his appearance (unofficial leaked photos aside). Very cool, it's about time he joined the MCY, now we just need to find a role for Ron Perlman. Loved, loved, loved that trailer. Loved seeing the Hulk talk, and Cate Blanchett looks like she could be another great villain. I was surprised we actually did see a bit of Surtur that at the end.
Looks cool. Very weird seeing The Hulk talking suddenly after how many films where he grunted or said one or two words?
It's interesting to see Cupid showing up for Ragnarok. Clearly this must mean that Hercules will finally make his MCU debut!
I got a real Flash Gordon vibe from some of the visuals in the new trailer. And that's a really good thing.
Director Taika Waititi Says 'About 80 Percent' Of The Film Was Improvised. Compare that to what just happened on the set of the Han Solo movie.
I know some people aren't going to like that, but I love it. Good allusion to the Han Solo movie, especially with the quote about Ruffalo.
It is kind of funny to hear about all of this after everything that happened with the Han Solo movie. It's nice to see that Marvel is willing to take some chances on something different these days. It sounds like Ragnarok will be the shortest MCU movie yet. I'm kind of surprised to hear that it's that short, it seems like a pretty jam packed movie. I just hope everything gets time to breath and develop, and that it doesn't just rush through it all. It's pretty rare these days to get a big movie like this that is under 2hrs long.
If they make the most of the runtime, I'm fine with it (its nice that its not trying to pad itself out to 2 hours if its more natural for it to tell the story in a shorter time).
Wow, only 100 minutes? Hopefully it flows smoothly without feeling rushed. Dunkirk is about that long but that turned out to be the perfect length, too, so it's not inherently a bad thing.
