If they weren't going to go with what was established on "DS9" and go for the more basic idea that the empire is still intact this is my idea. First Beverly Crusher would be the Supreme Dictator of the empire and wouldn't even be on the ship but her presence would be felt everywhere. She would have her pictures of herself everywhere, statues, computer monitors would constantly be playing her spewing out propoganda and even the computer voice would be her voice.

Wesley Crusher would be captain of the Enterprise, because she is his mom and he would be a Jothey(Game of Thrones) style evil horrible person who is married to Deanna Troi and she would be the "Captains Woman" but I would shine a light on just how horrible that concept is by saying she was a victim of sexual assault by him.

Troi would be having a secret affair with Riker and they might be the only decent people on the ship. They are secretly plotting away to kill Wesley Crusher but to do that they know they will have to deal with Worf who is basically his bodyguard and private henchmen.

Picard would sort of be weaselly guy who tries to play a nice guy but you can't trust him for a moment. He is always looking for a angle whether it is trying to play father figure to Wesley or make grand speeches about the human condition to make him look smarter than he is.

Geordi would be the smart and someone who should be in charge of engineering but because he is black he plays second in command to the more incompentent Barclay. This would make him very cynical about life. Racism is something I would image would still be a thing in a evil empire. Barclay would be kind of like the normal Barclay when it comes to being insecure but he would be more mean as a person.

Data would kind of be just like the normal version of who is but instead of being fascinated by humanity because he wants to be more human he is more fascinated by how evil they are and why they are like that. He and Geordi would still be friends.

Instead of agnoizers the holodecks would be the torture chambers on the ship. Stick someone in their and create a torture program until they break. I would try and get O'Brien,Ro ore Yar in the episode as a cameo by having the holodeck open up and find them to have gone crazy after being placed in one of those holodecks for over a year. The episode would end with Troi and Riker tossing Wesley into the holodeck were we see a hologram of the evil Wesley waiting for him getting ready to do, who knows what and it ends before e ever know for sure. I would also somehow insert a Genesis Style weapon into the episode and we see that they plan to overthrow Beverly Crusher by using that weapon on Earth.

The empire controls the Borg, ever since they were stupid enough to assimilate Picard & make him Locutus. Data (Who's cannibalized his brother Lore's components at this point, so he has his godawful emotion programming) was able to hack the Collective & turn Locutus back. Being subject to assimilation is now the ultimate corporal punishment in the Empire.

Riker is in command of the Enterprise, such as it is, being subject to the demands of Locutus & Data. He & his 1st officer Worf are covered in scars from having nearly killed one another in the fight for the captaincy of the ship. Riker's mauled face is missing an eye. Worf's charred carcass has a monstrous prosthetic arm on it, in place of the one he is missing

Beverly is a captive aboard, forced to render medical aid, under the threat of death, the purpose of which is to exploit her son's time altering ability, in experiments conducted by Laforge.

The rest of the ship hosts a crew of mostly half android/ half Borg drone monstrosities created by Data. Troi is still ship's counselor & the captain's concubine, & is also using her Betazoid abilities to manipulate the biologics into a major coup against the synthetics.

Now THAT'S a TNG mirror universe lol

Emperor Kahn Noonien Singh II, fresh from disposing Emperor Spock and putting an end to his budding peacenik ways, is travelling on D ready to launch a disastrous invasion of the Klingon Empire. Worf is in the brig as an informer, the House of Mogh being a house of traitors and brigands in the MU.

Lore is there as first officer, Picard has gotta a remote control to keep him loyal. He's also boinking Troi for good measure. The thinking being that it's always good to keep the resident robot and telepath sweet.

Bev is still there as Chief Medical Torturer and is in a relationship with Nurse Tasha Yar and Medical Orderly Ishara Yar and this terrible trio are plotting to take over the ship. But security Chief Ro Laren is suspicious and is determined to foil their efforts along with Wesley who in the MU is some sort of nut with a Ted Bundyesque temperament and doesn't like his mother's company..

Riker is at the con seething and jealous at his lowly position and has Lore taunting him all the time. Riker, off duty, is always trying to construct these overelaborate schemes to lure Lore into short circuiting himself.

LaForge spends most of his time in his quarters conferring with his senior engineers Leah Brahms and Christy Henshaw.

And there's your TNG MU episode.

Oh and I'd also plead with Christopher Walken to replace Majel Barrett as the computer voice.

Picard is captain of the ISS Enterprise. He's a ruthless bastard feared all over the quadrant. He stole Farpoint Station from the Bandi and once destroyed an unarmed Ferengi ship to get at a cache of weapons. He had his former XO, Jack Crusher killed and took Crusher's wife as a "Captain's Woman"

Riker of course has his eye on the Captain's chair, but is biding his time. He barely escaped the ISS Hood with his life after Captain DeSoto discovered his mutiny plans.

Troi is Picard's spy, using her empathic abilities to suss out mutineers.

    Worf is Picard's muscle.

Wes plays the sycophant, but is secretly plotting to kill Picard. He's used his technical skill to create a Psi-blocker to thwart Troi.

Data is cold efficient killing machine who carries out Picard's orders without question.

Geordi is Riker's man, using his VISOR to gain information on crew members and blackmail them.
