Do you think the "Cardassian" Sunset mentioned in NuTrek 1 was confused with the Samarian Sunset that was established in TNG and DS9? It was a favourite of Natima Lang.
It was a Cardassian Sunrise, not sunset. I doubt it was a mistake, they likely just wanted to reference Cardassians and came up with a drink to do so.
Considering that the bulk of the script for that movie was written by a couple of big TNG fans, I imagine that the "Cardassian Sunrise" (not Sunset - ha, ninja'd) was a deliberate choice — possibly in part an allusion to the beverage first shown in "Conundrum" (in the same way that the Samarian Sunset was itself a 24th-c. analogue of the 20th-century Tequila Sunrise) — rather than the result of any confusion.
Besides, we all know Uhura really said Kardashian... LOL, my internet spell checker actually flags "Kardashian" as wrong and suggests "Cardassian" instead.
Well, I guess for those dealing with the seven year itch who aren't pretentious enough to do that whole ceremony thing.
Cartesian here. It looks like a fairly divey bar, I'd be surprised if they sell any cocktails. Does the bartender every actually serve her?
