    Er...never? :P

The only shuttle I have from any other manufacturer is the Running Press Galileo, which is amazing for just £7.99. I haven't purchased any ships by another other manufacturers for years and years - got my micromachines when I was a lot younger, years ago. Only other ships are the Playmates battle damaged Enterprise D and First Contact E, again from years ago (late 1990s).

I wish I could get the shuttle pack, but unfortunately they are way too expensive for me at that small a scale. Individually, they go at ridiculously high prices at ebay. I just hope they'll be cheaper at some point in the future (although the opposite is more likely). Would also be nice if they remade some of the shuttles as bigger, regular issues. Would love to get the Enterprise shuttlepod and the Defiant shuttle. But would love to get them as regular issues even more.

Finally got the Franklin the other day. While not as cool as the promo images led me to believe, it's a really cool model. Some of the print/paint is off, which bugs me. And I wish they had given it the metallic paint job that they gave the NX-01. The usual grey base of the models looks too plastic-y for my taste.

It's not Eaglemoss related but I hope you don't mind me placing this here. Finally, some STB Enterprise-A love! PJT Models is releasing a Star Trek Beyond USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A model kit. It may not be 100% screen accurate but it's the only one we've got so far! And I do think that this particular model looks amazing!

I hope Eaglemoss releases the nuEnterprise-A also and soon!

I don't think Eaglemoss will produce an Enterprise-A until the 2019 movie, where it'll be the "star", and will probably have a few tweaks to its design.

We don't know anymore if a movie is going to happen.
That model of the nuA is awesome. Unlike Star Wars fans who get new ships before the film is even out, how ma years do. we have to wait for any sort of iteration?

That's pretty much an accurate indictment on CBS/Paramount's inability (dare I say, incompetence) to market one of their flagship properties adequately. Both Lucas and Disney have always been merchandising and marketing geniuses. C/P should take notes and learn from them.

At least we're getting models of never-before-made starships now, such as the Jem'Hadar battle cruiser, NX-01 shuttlepod, Merchantman, and (very soon) the Scimitar, to name a few. The Great Trek Toy Drought which lasted for over a decade from the late-90's onwards, when nearly every company that had been regularly producing starships and action figures decided to back out, was a mistake that I hope is never repeated again.

They "backed out" because no one was buying them. Diamond Select found that action figures wouldn't sell in sufficient quantities but Eaglemoss worked out a viable business model.

I'm not sure how the new range from McFarlane will go. If they just go Kirk and Spock and Picard like everyone else, they might find the market is really quite niche. That fits a subscription model, not mass market.

I was under the impression that Playmates died a slow death because their last few waves of toys were only available at 1 in every 20 Target stores. Hard to find, fewer buyers.

But RE: Diamond Select... their figures were very nice and it was disappointing how poorly they sold. Do Trekkies just hate merchandising? You always seem them complain about "prices" this, and "I have enough" that...

If they're smart, they'll do a Beyond-A soon and a modified(?) Star Trek 4 version when the time comes around.

They also need to do a Beyond 1701 refit, with the smaller, swept-back nacelles and thinner neck.

I don't think there's been any announcement on the Merchantman (which I'd very much like to see).

And to be fair, the early 2000's included the Johnny Lightning line, which was pretty good (apart from that terrible TOS-era Connie). For those of us who were willing to buy them on eBay, there was also the Japanese Furuta set.

Sorry, I got the Merchantman mixed up with the smuggler's ship from Unification, which will be coming out in November.

^ In STO, the smuggler's ships is called an Amarie-class smuggler's heavy escort.

Btw, got my Rhode Island fixed - colleague who is also a craftsman shoved the hull slightly apart and made the peg plug in. However, I had had called Eaglemoss so they're sending me a replacement any way. Win-win!

I wonder if the Mirror issues continue after the ISS Defiant? There's room for the mirror-Warp Delta and the NCC-1764 (ideally a repainting of the Connie but white instead of grey).

Anyone know when the Franklin is available in the US? I opted out as I need s little more advance notice to cover all the subscriptions when specials come out.

    K7 looks amazing!

Not sure if I'll bother with the big E-E though, it's not my favourite ship.
