Say what you like about Don Johnson's talent as an actor or a singer, "Heartbeat" is actually a pretty cool song and is a PERFECT example of 80's cheese that is not only cheese, it's the most gloriously cheesy cheese. And you know what makes it all come together: When the song changes key, halfway through. That alone cements it in the 80's Cheese Hall of Fame.
I'm listening to Rossana from "Toto" way to much. My thingy and OCD have worked together to make me obsessed with this video because I love the song, thinks the girl is hot and I like looking at the guys because their faces have character. Not like a bunch of pretty boys who look like their entire career is built on impressing teenage girls. Jason
I actually have on my playlist the last 5 years of the Eurovision Song Contest (current: 'Time' ESC 2017, Ukraine). Yes, some of the songs are terrible, but the standard has lifted enormously over the last few years. All sorts of pop - power pop, punk-pop, rock-pop, prog pop, ethnic pop, rap pop, you name it, it's in there.
I was listening to the Beatles' "When I'm 64" and I suddenly realized that I AM 64. No more "many years from now" for me. I feel like I was just goosed by Time.
