Yep, it was brought up during the launch info in January. Nintendo will be Nintendo and fuck over their followers.
Yeah, the only way $90 would be worth it is if they were deluxe units with many improvements to them, like higher quality plastic and felt or brush lining and special branded theming.
The unit connects to the tv through a USB C to HDMI converter... And it also charges through it, but there are (slightly) cheaper alternatives for it, but you need to get/make your own stand for it... Hello 3rd party options...
USB C hubs are actually surprising expensive (usually $60 retail minimum) but yeah Nintendo is getting a ton of them wholesale which will bring down the price and I'm sure they're making a nice little profit on the dock bundle. I imagine the Joy Cons and Pro Controller cost a little bit more to produce than normal controllers but I'm sure Nintendo is making a nice margin on the stand alone versions as well.

So Mario Kart 8 is breaking all kinds of records, not bad for a 3 year old port. Yes yes, I know, insert comment saying that's only one of two games for the system I've heard it all before. I've been the fist to defend the Switch, because I really like it, it's a nice little handheld that can be played on the tv, and I'm ok with that. Plus I know when I buy Nintendo I'm not going to get a powerful system. I'm eager for E3, I've read that Nintendo plans to focus on the upcoming games that are coming out for 2017, but I hope they talk a bit about next year too, I want to be assured that they are trying to plug any holes of a potential drought. So far the steady stream of games is working for me: next up for me is 'Ultra Street Fighter 2, Arms, and Splatoon 2." Then after that (unless E3 gives us some major surprises) I don't think I have anything until the new Mario. For a first year, I think the Switch is doing just ok with games, Nintendo certainly could have done better.
I would like to see some more independent titles released through the e-shop, most of all though I would like to see them launch the Virtual Console and let us download games we already purchased on the Wii U.
... its sales have been plummeting week-over-week and in no way have the numbers been breaking "all kinds of records."
I'm guessing this was the source for that claim, and the amount of hedging makes it out to be not that impressive at all.
Shhhh... let Aldo live in their own reality not based on facts. It's 2017 and facts are dead. No shit, we have been saying that for months.
You guys have literally ruined all the fun of talking about the Switch on this board. Once upon a time it was fun to come on here and chat to like minded individuals about my interests, oh but god forbid I love Nintendo. To hell with all of you, this is the last time I visit the gaming forum.
Are you a Trump supporter by any chance? You seemed to have been triggered by people not agreeing with your reality.
This is a discussion thread which means there may be both positive and negative opinions about Nintendo and/or the Switch expressed here. That should be self-evident.
