Hey, Jimmy Haslam said that a hobo told him to draft Manziel...

The Texans have given up their 1st and 2nd round draft picks next year to Cleveland, the end result being we now have Deshaun Watson and don't have to pay for Osweiler. Watson better fucking walk on water for this kind of horseshit.

Pace has to be throwing Fox and his staff under the bus at this point, there's no other explanation for running Cutler out of town, giving Glennon $17 million in guaranteed money and coughing up three picks to move up one slot.

For a guy the 49ers wouldn't have taken anyway.

I must have missed something, because I don't get the "Mr. Irrelevant" thing with the Denver pick for QB. Seems kind of rude, honestly.

The last guy drafted is always called Mr. Irrelevant. That's been going on since the 70's.

Ah... this must have been the first time I actually paid attention. I don't normally watch the draft but this year I guess I was kind of drawn to it for some odd reason.

Based on what ESPN and Fox analysts have been saying, not a single team had him ranked higher than 2 on their QB boards.

Edit: The funny thing is that even if Trubisky is good (although he'll have to learn a whole new system in 2018 since it's patently clear Fox is toast), it will still have been a bad, dumb idiot move because the alternative to making the trade to get Trubisky ... was not making the trade and still getting Trubisky.

The Bears played themselves. Gotta give some kudos to John Lynch and his team for fooling the Bears, though to be honest it probably wasn't very difficult.

Maybe Virginia had a Ouija board moment.

What the Bears did to get Trubisky is just as foolish as what the Texans did to ultimately rid themselves of Osweiler and get Watson. Foolishness and panic don't make good NFL drafts.

The Bears don't make good NFL drafts. One way or another, at least they changed it up for once and took a (BIG) risk.
The Bears' history in the 3rd & 4th rounds is pretty bad, so giving up those picks isn't likely ot be the worst part of all this.

And Cutler signs on to be an analyst for Fox.

How the hell did the two best free-agent quarterbacks in the last five years both go into broadcasting instead of getting starting jobs?

With Romo I think the injuries made people balk at signing him but I have no viable explanation for a guy as good and healthy as Cutler.

With the way Pace and Fox openly hated him from the day they arrived in Chicago, and with the hatchet job they did on him on his way out, I wouldn't be shocked if Pace had been working the phones and telling other teams, "Yo, this guy sucks shit."

Cutler has always taken way too much shit for being a good quarterback, it's ridiculous.
And the dirty way Jerruh did Romo is nasty.
