You and me both! Somehow I was fascinated with this "mystery" ship. I remember spending ages looking at the few pictures of it in the Star Trek Encyclopedia. Small black & white pics at the early editions and then color (but still small) pics in the later editions.

Alright, keep your wig on, Jesus. I'd been out all day and had just got home after 10:30pm and only saw then for myself, for your information. Seen as no one else had written about thought I might as well while I was online.
Christ, I won't bother next time

Actually, please do. I still feel a little burned after having paid full price for the second shuttle set, only to have heard about the promo codes a week later. I never seem to be able to find those things until it's too late. I would definitely love to hear about them and this is the perfect thread for that. Getting ready to pre-order the Designing Starships Vol. 2 soon and I plan on using them for that. Thank you for your contributions here - seriously, please don't stop!

I think you need to take a step back and realise how you came across, although telling someone to "keep there wig on" (I still have a full head of hair thanks) and then to proceed like you did was rather amusing.

And just for your information, I saw the post when I woke up and even though I kinda understand where the sentiment was coming from, posting that close to the midnight closure for this deal didn't seem as helpful as you clearly thought it would be.

But by all means, please reconsider that rather rash declaration, I'm one person with one opinion, there may be others who thought it was the most helpful post this year.

Even ten minutes before midnight can make a difference! This is the age of mobile online banking, after all. Please, do bother with codes and discount announcements.

Yeah, I don't really see the alternative. Not bother to tell anyone who might benefit? It's not Ethros' fault for not knowing with more notice. But someone might have benefitted, so please keep sharing.

Haha omg, are you actually for real? That's twice now you're having a go at me for trying to help. I don't work for Eaglemoss you know, nor is it my job on the TrekBBS to help you out. I've actually explained why I posted it late, and as I said it was purely a "oh cool, might as well share this just in case anyone else is lurking about at this time as I myself have only just found out" and you're still having a go! "Wasn't as helpful as I thought"?? Where in my post did I slap myself on the back exactly for sharing this? Good god, man.
I think you're the one who needs to take a step back.

I disagree with Dimesdan and hope anyone will continue to post those discounts when they see them. I don't go "hunting" around the Interwebz for these things and absolutely appreciate when someone takes the time to post them here where I do frequent. Thank you Ethros!

Firstly and foremostly, take a hard long look at what I'm written and the way I wrote it compared to you, there is a vast difference in the way I have addressed you in comparison to how you have addressed me, Secondly, I am not having a go at you and thirdly, this leads back to the first point, you need to take a step back.

From the bottom of my heart I am sorry for the way you have taken what I posted, from the way you have posted, it seems to have hit a nerve and that was not my intention and it was not my intention to have a go at you.

Just for clarification though as you seemed to have missed it last time I said this, I kinda understand where the sentiment was coming from, posting that close to the midnight closure for this deal didn't seem as helpful as you clearly thought it would be, and that was my own personal opinion on the matter, you clearly thought it would be helpful (as do others) and that's your privilege.

I didn't and I am. Given I have been completely composed in the last several messages I have written in this thread, thanks for the chuckle.

Anyway, from my end, it's done and dusted, I've apologised and @Ethros wants to accept that, then that is their decision.

The matter is closed. Everyone should chill. I'm sure everyone is very grateful for any news and discount notifications you guys have posted here whether we've made the deadline or not.

So, how many of you have gotten the supersized NCC-1701? I'm still not sure if I want to shell out that much money. And as I said earlier, I'm not sure the quality of the model is as good as it should be for that kind of money. What's the consensus?

I don't have it, but that is mainly because I'm not a fan of the Original Enterprise, I do plan on getting the D and E though.

I got it a couple months back. Don't have any regrets on the purchase, and it convinced me that I'll definitely be getting the -D and -E and any other large-scale specials when they come out. Yes it is smaller than the Diamond Select version (it's certainly no pristine Unobtanium or QMX work of art), and there are some noticeable seams on the underside of the primary hull, but the overall color is good, decals are extremely well done and the windows and other details seem to be spot-on, even though the original studio model never had them on the port side. Really the only thing it's missing is the faint rust-colored ring, weathering and gridlines on the topside of the primary hull. This is clearly an "idealized" version, likely based on the CG model they used to make the remastered series. And no saggy warp nacelles - bonus! Now I just hope they do a similar treatment with the refit.

I keep nearly pulling the trigger on the big Enterprise, but £45 seems a bit steep. I prefer the size to the Diamond Select version though, it's easier to display. I'm not too bothered about lights and sounds. I keep thinking I'll wait for a sale... I'd probably get the Enterprise-D too.

I don't really have any plans to get the large ships. Setting aside the price (which IS an issue for me), I simply don't have the room. If I did, my Playmates Enterprise-D and shuttle would probably be sitting on a shelf at my place, instead of stuffed in a plastic storage tub with most of my other childhood possessions at my parents' house about 2000 km away.

That said, if I heard good things about the giant Voyager when it finally arrives, I might consider getting that one. I've mentioned before but it's only "hero" ship (apart from the refit Enterprise) from the numbered sets that I don't have, largely because I'm not impressed by the pictures I've seen but if they've fixed some of the problems the main one had, I would like a quality Voyager model.

Love the jumbo 1701. It's solid, sturdy and fun to play with (if I was playing with it but I'm an adult ). It feels "oomph" and classy, unlike the plastic models I have.

I'm unsure about the E-D because it's not my favourite design. But I'm a conpletist so...

Would be very interested in E-E and E-C, even though the E-E is the First Contact albino rather than the stylish NEM version.
