Has anyone been following this story? From what I understand is I think a add was used on some alt right channel and then there was some backlash so a huge number of corporations starting pulling all there adds from anything that even comes close to being controversal which is effecting sites that deal with news? Then Youtube did something in response to that which they are basically calling it censorship. Is it wrong that my gut feeling is that this might be all being planned by Trump people trying to stop anyone who talks about stories that he doesn't want people to know about? Jason
Isn't the whole google/youtube ad thing down to compay A's ads appearing along side ads for others which might be viewed as controversial. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2017/mar/16/guardian-pulls-ads-google-placed-extremist-material This article appears to indicate the issue was first noticed in the UK http://uk.businessinsider.com/these...tube-and-google-over-extremist-content-2017-3 If that's accurate then I doubt Trump or his people had anything to do with it, given over 1.8m people signed a petition asking Parliament to bedate withdrawing his state visit invite https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171928
