What announcement? There has been no announcement. Just reports. There is a difference. As I said the last time this came up in a different thread, I've never doubted that she was doing the show. But every press release announcing other cast members subsequent to those reports has included a list all officially announced cast members to date, and she's never been included in that list. That's not by accident. Personally, I think it's because her character is going to be killed off on The Walking Dead, and they have some sort of arrangement with the TWD people not to make it official until that happens. But the fact remains that the production has yet to confirm her involvement.
Cos in the 23rd century looks won't matter. By the 24th century no one gives a shit about baldness, especially the Deltans and Orions.
I often find that a person's true beauty doesn't really come through in a still photo -- it's more of a living thing that has to be seen in motion.
Haha! It's hilarious because they're not all white men! They were going to add some more white men to the cast in order to cater to certain insecure folk's need to make a TV show about fake space into a safe space, but then they realized that people begging for more men to show up sounded kind of gay, and they didn't want to needlessly add to their already deepseated confusion about their own sexuality, manifested in the form of an excessive opposition to any appearance of gay people onscreen.
In light of the criticism for laughing at ST: SJW post, I should probably qualify my thumbs up to be totally directed at SJW comments on this builtin board, not the cast photo. I wasn't clear about that. The cast photo is totally fine and seems to be a very nice looking crew.
I wasn't talking about you (or anyone else) personally. Just observing that people who are the most outspoken about their opposition to homosexuals often tend to be a little confused about their own sexuality, as many a virulent anti-gay politician can personally attest after a visit to a public restroom. When it comes to anti-gay Trekkies, it's as if they think someone being openly gay on Star Trek can somehow convert them through the TV screen with their gayser beams.
That photo showed up on the internet about a week ago. Quite a few media sites have used it for headlines and have ignored them knowing they are just recycling the story. But why are entertainment websites still releasing new headlines today acting as though this is some breaking news?
