La-La Land Records will be releasing Jerry Goldsmith's 85 minute score to Star Trek: The Motion Picture on a 2-LP set on March 14. The new album is mastered from the same high-resolution mixes made in 2012 for the CD set they previously released. New jacket art was made by Daren R. Dochterman.

Seriously, I'd buy this just for the artwork. That is absolutely unbelievable. Wow!

Have to say that I am a bit disappointed, it has been six days since I ordered the album, and it still hasn't actually shipped yet.

I've been sent lots of messages from people who are getting them. I'm sure you'll have yours soon. No need to be "disappointed".

It looks beautiful! Too bad the shipping costs are almost higher than the costs of LP-set itself. Not to mention the import tax I would have to pay if I decide to buy it. :weep:

Got it today. Listening to the A side. Sounds pretty good, was disappointed there are two small rips on the album jacket at the top. There was no damage to the mail packaging it came in.

I am on my second listen of this since receiving it yesterday. This is some of the best sounding vinyl to ever hit my ears. A wonderful job for all involved, past and present! :-)

Damn I love that artwork. I think I prefer it over the original movie poster, which was already one of my favourites.
