Geez, I would have loved that deal back when Trek was either airing 3+ years behind the US at midnight or on VHS at $20 for two episodes.

I spend more than 7 bucks a day on coffee. No biggie.

Yeah, I think too many people are being a bit stingy. Then again, I think CBSAA should be at least a couple dollars cheaper per month. Oh well.

I can wait till iTunes gets the show. We all know it will, eventually.

The price itself is not a problem, it's having to subscribe to a whole new service just to watch one show (yes, I know other shows will be broadcast on CBS-AA, but none of them are ones I would watch).

Besides, once iTunes gets DSC, you can buy a season pass and KEEP all the episodes. If you watch it on CBS-AA and then cancel (assuming their "retention specialists" don't make that difficult  ), I'm just guessing you will lose access to the show.

Ahhhh, iTunes! Didn't even think of that! As I type this on an iPhone...

Side note; I think it's entirely possible that CBSAA bombs, but ST isn't abandoned. Perhaps season 2 of DSC ends up on US Netflix?

An article posted a couple week ago, showed that All-Access was on track to meet subscriber projections. That is months before Trek premieres.

Very curious to see CBS's strategy regarding publishing AA's original content after the season airs. Right now we have expectations based on what we see for regular shows, with no real statement from CBS about their strategy here.

DVD/Blu-ray I see as definite. But will CBS see the other streaming services as competition or revenue channels?

Interesting. I see "The Good Fight" as the test bed as it is _NOT_ Star Trek DSC.
I still view CBSAA as a loss leader through 2020. They will slowly build subscriptions but how much attrition will they have every quarter?
I expect The Good Fight will be available to buy only on iTunes/Google Play/Microsoft Movies & TV. I do not think we'll see it streaming as part of a all-you-can-stream buffet on amazon prime or Netflix or Hulu until after season 3.
A real question is how is The Good Fight distributed internationally? Is it broadcast anywhere or streaming anywhere? ITunes availbility Internationally?

I imagine at least a few of these folks complaining about the outrageous (said in a fake French accent) price of the new ALL ACCESS service will gladly pony up the money to subscribe once they realize that they won't be able to immediately complain about how 'terrible' the new show is if they have to wait around to actually see it....

You mean you watch it in order to complain about it? I've been doing it all wrong. ;)

You are right. We should all complain based on screen grabs and click bait articles.

I'm annoyed I have to pay $10 to watch one show, because I no interest in any other CBS show. But it's only $10, I just hope it isn't a trend. I'd rather pay more for Netflix since it provides more content.

No, it's available on all popular consoles, like ps4 and xbox, you'll watch it the same way you watch any other app

How dare content creators charge me money for content! Every show ever made from now on should be on Netflix, otherwise it's a ripoff.

Seriously, it's less than a price of a single basic lunch these days. If it's making a dent in your budget, then you have bigger problems than watching Star Trek. A standard salad with avacado and bacon at Chopt is more than $10.

While I wholeheartedly agree, I still maintain that CBSAA would be more appealing to folks if it was a dollar or two cheaper. Especially for the people who will use it to solely watch ST.

And remember folks- they (CBS) don't need to "recoup" as much as you think... Netflix essentially paid for DSC.

But I also agree with @Balok's Decoy -

I think people have been spoiled for years now, and pitch a fit every time they need to shell out a few bucks for entertainment.

I agree that CBSAA would be more appealing if it were at the Shudder price point: $4.99. More appealing for a more limited scope.

Also agree that people are kinda spoiled now and balk anytime they are asked to pay for entertainment.

Since I've been such a CBS shill lately (lol) I decided to finally pony up and sign up for CBSAA, even though DSC hasn't hit yet. Started watching The Good Fight and you know what, it's not half bad. I've been looking for a good legal drama. They also have Colbert. So between those, DSC in the summer, the Star Trek library, and the occasional football game, CBSAA is worth the money to me.
