I was just watching my PVR recording of Friday's "Dateline", and one of the commercial's was for Dominoe Pizza. But the funny thing is, half-way through the commercial Allan Ruck, who played Captain John Harriman in "Star Trek Generations", appears driving a red Audi.
He was also in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Spin City, both roles that he's better known for than ST: GEN.
The fact is, the commercial was a riff on Ferris Beuller's Day Off, and Alan Ruck was probably playing the same character in the commercial as he did in Ferris Beuller, as an homage.
He's wearing a red hockey jersey just like he did in FBDO. So, yeah, same role. And boy did that kid not look remotely like Ferris Bueller.
He was probably relegated to doing Dominos ads in the late 23rd century as well, particularly after his first mission as Captain of the Enterprise B.
