How in the world did you light the deflector dish??

 

This is a wild guess, but I'd try to make the thing out of clear plastic, paint some areas and put an LED right in the rear stub.

 

Ah, I wasn't referring to the exposed wires, but to the primer. It seriously looks good as a weathering effect.

There's a single 2mm lighthouse LED mounted in the center of the clear frosted dish. A length of fiber optic extends that light to the tip of the spire.

 

Hood assembly completed and in primer coat as the paint work begins.

 

This is gorgeous. I love the styling on your secondary hull and the addition of the docking ports.
