There's some awesome customer service right there, eh?

There's some heart and mind winning.

There's some reasoned explaining and patient answering.

    There's some accepting suggestions.

Now if this can turn into the new status quo where you don't have people (like LFIM's sycophants/sock puppets) blindly and blatantly shooting their mouths off with condemnation and condescension at every turn, then maybe something can get done (though I doubt it will)

    Welcome home, brother.

You know, when I read that I almost let myself think "He's making 30 more minutes of that talking head shit?"

But of course he's not, because he has no intention of making another film. Good con artists keep up the con.

LFIM is definitely following Lazarus Long's advice on how to repeatedly con someone "...after you skin a man you must give him time to regrow his skin. " If you follow this rule, Lazarus says you can con the same mark repeatedly.

Just a reminder: Even Prelude to Axanar relied heavily on the creative team behind it. Almost no one is present anymore!
Filming talking heads in front of a green screen doesn't raise any expectations about the results. And who would think that Tobias Richter would be connected to this endeavour any longer? We know, Tommy Kraft won't be.

    Manage your expectations, donors!

Tobias Richter's already delivered the effects and been paid.

AXANAR IS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE STUDIO ANYMORE

    Oh. My. God.

Alec launches an IGG for....wait for it....A STUDIO on a Monday - and then on WEDNESDAY says he doesn't need a studio!! AND PEOPLE STILL GIVE HIM MONEY.

Let me repeat Alec's own words:

AXANAR IS NOT DEPENDENT ON THE STUDIO ANYMORE

If a person is giving money to Alec at this point, they aren't Axanar fans, they are Alec Peters fans.

Especially since the current IGG has nothing to do with Axanar.

And now on the IGG we have a new person asking a bunch of really really good questions. Now we wait to see if any get answered.

It is just mind boggling isn't it? All this focus on studio rent and moving the studio and this and that and he doesn't even need the thing anymore.

So that is $1.4M waster on a studio studio that Axanar will never be filmed in.

If you don't ned the studio, close it down and focus on making your freaking movie.

Yeah then he'd have to actually make the movie which seems to be the last thing he wants to do. He probably knows with all the people who have left the production he can never match the hype.

I'm really confused about the shell game that's going on now between Axanar, the studio, the California site, the Georgia site. My head's spinning with all this nonsense. Can't he just make the phucking fan-film already, or has it (d)evolved into a money-moving venture? "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" comes to mind. AP must have read the secret memoires of Bernie Madoff 'cause this all sounds like a complete Ponzi scheme now. If he's not careful, he's going to wind up in court again for a whole new set of charges.

    1. Alec is still trying to use donor money to fund a studio in California. This pitch is for Industry Studios to be a nonprofit to provide support and studio time for fan films, film students, etc, and commercial work when they can get it.

    2. In the face of not getting that money, apparently, Alec is keeping Axanar donors at bay by saying Axanar isn't dependent on the continuing existence of this studio.

    3. In the fine print of the Indiegogo campaign he says that unless donors pay to operate his studio until he can make a steady income with the facility, they will relocate their operations to a facility in Georgia. So donors probably *are* buying into something that isn't really possible; raise 100-200k$ for this project seems unlikely but he will keep the donations anyway, and if he walks away from the studio as he says he might, who knows what that money will be spent on. Probably 'relocating'.

    Open questions:

    1. Do you really think CBS/P can't find you in Georgia when you launch your transmedia IP-violation empire?

    2. Are you going to bankrupt again to end the lease?

From the IGG even if he raises $200k they still might move. I think he's already decided they are moving and just wants to try to cover as much of the lease as he can before it is over.

Sums it up nicely, thank you.

Sigh...and the drama factory continues to pump out its noxious fumes.

    I think this is correct.

Hell, if you really want out of a lease, know what you do?

You break it. Yes, you end up in court. So it's courteous to at least mention to the landlord that you have to move, etc. and hope they'll either work with you before suing you or will cut the rent so you can make an early exit, particularly if you can line up a replacement tenant for them. But this has happened before in the history of the universe.
