Right. nowe we have a IGG for the studio that they claim they DON'T even need to make Axanar before trying to actually raisee money for Axanar which they are now saying they won't have done until fall.

    Yep. ALL for the studio!
The Axanar film is the very last item on the laundry list... if ever...
I bet some shill donations will also find their way in.

    Chrls commenting again.
"this campaign is for the studio that may move to GA."

Ah. There it is. The connection to the company registered in Georgia! Around May of 2016 I believe it was.

Continued kudos to nuGarth for continuing to not engage with Chrls' aggressive provoking comments:
    -"donors are intelligent enough"
    -"don’t YOU have the intelligence"
-" you haters bullshit enough" [elsewhere]

and interestingly a donor ($25) appears with comment "I’m a little confused" [about what this crowdfund is for]

Swooping in defendantGarth brings in that massively well developed tool, The Blaming Finger: 'It's CBS/P's fault hundreds of thousands of donor funds are gone because of "the studio sitting idle for 14 months".' (aprox. $210,000)

    Excellent pivot, defendantGarth.

Except for, you know, that littlest of facts; the studio could have been rented out the entire time the production company was in litigation. Thereby covering all that rent and utility cost. Saving at least a year of rent&utilities from using donor funds to pay them. Leaving just the tiniest of questions: Why, defendantGarth, did "the studio sit idle for 14 months" during and after the litigation?

I believe you said everything was ready to begin filming in January 2016 did you not. [EDITED IN to correct the Jan timeline: "On Dec. 15, Alec told his supporters principal shooting was just 60 days away. Therefore February 2016.] You certainly wouldn't have told us that if the studio wasn't ready would you. Then those 14 months of renting would have saved hundreds of thousands of donor dollars that as soon as the suit settled could have immediately started covering the rent&utilities for lots of fan film makers to make their dreams come true - for next to nothing - for over a year from settlement date. Just like your IndieGoGo pitch says you want to do.

Even he can't outrun the factstorm forever! Elude from Taxanar will be canceled eventually.

And it's the law's fault that Axanar was open to charges of infringement. Its the entertainment industry's fault that they won't use a soundstage that only lacks what it is named for. Its nosy reporters' fault that a quarter million spent on 'business expenses' looked like profit until a cover story could be devised. Soon it will be the donors' fault that blameless Axanar Productions has to leave (sell) their donor-paid-for facility.

Accountability always stops one layer away from Axanar. Always.

Interesting. :vulcan: The alien vessel appears to have some sort of accountability shield. Tractor beam has little effect. We cannot tell whether weapons fire is actually coming from it, or some other source. Attempts to match its warp signature to known pirates is inconclusive.

On our world, there are stories about this species. They trade with funds that do not authenticate as theirs. They take jobs and instead use the resources at hand to build things which they expropriate without compensation. They change their names seemingly by the moment.

Their origins are by and large lost to history, but one fact remains. They revere a sacred document called the Axalite's Tale.

One of the commenting two digit dollar donators intrigues me. Presents as the gentlest of donor/supporters. Asks amazingly pertinent questions in the most innocuous ways.

When is it that the three year lease runs out? Are Axanar/Peters committed to the full three years, or are they penalised financially in some way if they opt out early, or just stop paying the lease?

Well, this just knocked me over.

The donator/commenter I was talking about above, a $25 donor, which puts his-or-her donation equal to or more than 63 other donors (I'm not counting the single dollar donors), which means as a $25 donor he-or-she has donated equal to 21.95% of the donors and more than 8.7% of other donors. So equal to or more than 29.71% of donors of this crowdfund. That's right at 30%.

And this Chrls person just trashed him-or-her in the IndieGoGo comment section:
"Shane Vansen, I have yet to see anything creative from either of you. [he's including a second person who is a $1 donor] If each of you showed something beyond trying to produce bullshit from your parent’s basements on someone attempt to help the fan film community, you’d be taken seriously. Otherwise the only failures I see here are two jealous little children from a tiny hate group who’s been try to make a difference for the last 14 months, and failing at every turn. Save your $1 donations, and get a life, or a girlfriend."

Again, Shane Vansen is a $25 donor. And the thing is, this man-or-woman has not only donated as much or more than close to 1/3rd of the current donors, he-or-she is speaking in the kindest voice. Demonstrating only quiet interest for the production itself.

    This is totally off-the-wall weird.

This is what you guys who have FB have said for so long- if you're a donor and ask questions you are garbage to these people. I'd just never witnessed it happening until this public Indiegogo comment. (I don't use FB)

This Chrls person's comment is over the top mean & nasty. That post should be reported to IndieGoGo.

I'm not a donor. Am I allowed to report it myself without being a signed in donor?

Couple million dollars and over 4 years to make a fan film? I'm getting sort of curious how many thousands of times better it will be over some of the under a thousand dollar projects I've been involved in.

He tasks me! He tasks me and I shall have him!

I'm not trying to protect anybody. What amazes me about faithful donors is that they are still faithful, but I feel no great need to protect idiots who have willfully given up their instinct for self-preservation. I just wonder why they do it.

My beef with LFIM is much more selfish. I didn't lose money, but I was affected by the collateral damage he caused. His thieving and grandstanding lead to the creation of the guidelines, which were necessary to rein his ass in, but also shut down any episode- or feature-length trek fan films and fan series, leaving my favorites, New Voyages and Continues, needing to figure out new ways to do things. They can finish what's already in the works, but after that, those series as I knew them are done (unless the creators say screw the guidelines, which I doubt is in their nature).

I was never going to watch Axanar, but the actions of the guy that created Axanar (and used it to steal from corporations and fans) damaged productions that gave me great pleasure in a life that's rarely fun to live.

For that, I don't want to see him fail. I want to see him BURN. I will settle for his failure.
