The theme for Feb is "Pilot"! With the pilot episode of Star Trek Discovery coming (eventually) I thought it might be cool to look back at the first episodes of the Star Trek shows and pick something from your favourite that clearly represents that episode. Maybe you like the "man-skirts" of Encounter at Farpoint or Number One from The Cage, Jake fishing in the holodeck from The Emissary or Harry being abducted and experimented on in Caretaker... actually that might have been any episode ***UPDATE*** Short game is a good game we're going to do entries due by the 28th February. Email them to ptrope *at* gmail *dot* com as well as posting them in this thread.
^we stopped adding an extra month after doing this for some time, last fall. The reason is that it never really increased participation/entries. Some of us would be able to do it in a week.
In this case, we have only 2 weeks to finish. But I think this topic can generate ideas fairly quickly, so it's doable. But I'd be fine either way.

Belated congratulations for the "Damage" win, LeeDrawsStuff! I'm hoping to get some time at the weekend to come up with something for this challenge (a house move swallowed almost all my time last month - and is still doing so).
OK. As time has escaped me, here's my entry: "Hey, you lot! Come and look at this" yelled the first verteron node. "Oooh! The Prophets have been crying golden tears again" said the second. "I can see my face in it..." Just off to email it to Ptrope...
Ran out of time this month! Had a nice kernel of an idea, something involving Q and a box of Mike & Ikes, but couldn't figure out how to pull it off. (Really hope someone understands the reference!)
