Not really a fan film per se, but it's still pretty darn fun. Can you catch all the references to the various episodes they make?

You know it's well done when even I notice just how much attention they must've paid to getting the lighting just right.

YouTube suggested this to me yesterday... and what a brilliant video! Love it!

Agreed Ion - they did a great job of merging it all, it looks very smart.

Some of the references... off the top of my head:

Fake Picard's sing song in Allegiance
Picard's Shakespeare from Ménage à Troi.
The Klingon song for Picard I don't think was Picard (am I wrong?)
Data pretending to be Picard with the long passcode in Brothers (I love it slowed down to the tune, it's quite hypnotic... which leads me to...)
Picard when he's in the runabout in Timescape.

I think the Data song is from In Theory, when he's preparing for a date? (I keep getting this niggly feeling it was Lore However!)

    I adore this!

I adore it too. Brilliant and also terrible! I couldn't look away, lol. Still can't.
He chose all the most annoying Picard-bits."cheer up, my lads!"

As for the Data song: The description tells us:
"The track opens with the Klingon Victory Song, followed by a remix of Data singing Che Gelida Manina in the episode 'In Theory'." He made it sound Hindu.

    Yes, it's close enough! ;)

And am I the only one who got a little addicted to the vid and the song?

I managed to stumble into this video, recommended to me. Gave it a go. WEIRD start... thought it was kind of silly. But then after a minute into it, the whole thing kicks up a notch and is quite enjoyable. It's rather nonsensical given the stream of lyrics put together, but it sure is catchy. That actor did a terrific job with his lip syncing and mannerisms. Data makeup was impressive! That POGO channel is curious. The guy behind it all is Nick Bertke, who is a music producer and remix artist based in Perth, Western Australia. He's done a lot of commercial work for Disney/Pixar and others. Pretty much one of those self-made guys who dropped a few videos on YouTube and then got recognized. Very talented. His remix work is a bit choppy at times, too much crammed into a short time frame. But some of it is quite good.

I get where most of the lyrics come from for Picard, but for Data? I don't get it at all. The beginning sounds like Klingon put to a melody, while he's dressed as Picard, but once as Data I can't make head or tail of it... not sure if he pulled it from somewhere else, or if it's from a Star Trek episode. Any ideas?

The post production was even more impressive then I remember considering that he did not have a yellow uniform (only red) and could not get the contact lenses. Those things were added in post.
The track opens with the Klingon Victory Song, followed by a remix of Data singing "Che Gelida Manina" from the episode ‘In Theory’.

^ Thank you Philip! I was getting close to tracking down the Klingon bit, but was getting nowhere with Data. I knew it had to be something relating to Data, as the character is used, but all of my initial searches on Data singing turned up nothing.

    Finally found this [LINK]:

I have known people to spend hours researching this to find all the references. However the information is found in the YouTube video description, but for some reason no one ever thinks to read it. ;)

^ Ah, foolishly I didn't think to click the "see more" button. With the gap between the last description sentence in view and the button, I didn't realize there was more below. YouTube ought to put a line count indicator, so one can easily realize that there's more to be read. ;)
