It felt like a small reboot to me not only the episode titles but they were introducing character names the entire time. I don't recall Two, Three and Four using their gimmick and referring to themselves as such in the prison scenes.

Which would mean that Marc Bendavid would leave the series either way.

I don't think they referred to each other (by name or number) at all, in this episode. It remains to be seen if numbers or names get used. Some may go for names (Ryo?), others may prefer the number still (Two?).

Hmm, JM says One is dead. Surprising (to me, anyway). Still, something will have to be done about those leads. Six is aware of One' suspicions, maybe he and three will have motivation to take revenge.

As for the breakout, I expect this to happen in the next episode.

I'm afraid I don't care for Six's real name, "Kal Varrick." I think "Griffin Jones" fits him better, and just sounds better.

Speaking of names, now that One is dead, are they going to reassign his number to someone else, or just get out of the habit of using numbers altogether, or just stick with a numbering scheme that starts with Two? I know, I know, it's silly, but the order-freak part of me is going to be frustrated if there's a gap in the numbering scheme that goes unfilled.

Character-wise, I think it's pretty clear that Two is attached to that name for herself. Four, on the other hand, seems keen to embrace his identity as Ryo. Six might not be too happy with being Kal Varrick and might decide, like Two, that it's better to reject his old identity and just be Six. I don't know which way Three or Five might go.

It sounds from Mallozzi's comments that Corso will not be impersonating One as part of the Raza crew. They will know that One was killed and will be pursuing Corso. Interesting twist. Still, it doesn't prove that Bendavid's days on the show will be numbered. There might be some twist where they're forced into an alliance by circumstance, or something.

^The numbers aren't a system, they're just the order in which they encountered each other in lieu of actual names. They could just have easily pulled a 'Reservoir Dogs' and picked colours. It's not like it's a hereditary title and that there *must* be a One and a Two etc.

"One" went through a Transfer Transit clone system in S1. If they really want him back, it wouldn't be very hard to write a clone of one back in through that back door (for example: say, they copied all the data, illegally if need be, and a new technique makes it possible to create long-lived clones).

But do they want him back? Or is this a way of writing out the weakest cast member?

Besides, the Transfer Transit data was based on his genetics, and thus a clone based on that data would have Derrick Moss's true face and voice, and thus would be played by Dan Jeannotte instead of Marc Bendavid.

A good point. Mallozzi, though, claims this twist had been planned from before DM was greenlighted as a TV-series (it existed as a comic and further ideas, before). In that case, the quality of the actor wouldn't play much of a role, except that they would know beforehand that Marc wouldn't be a regular for more than one year. And they can and will still use him as Corso, though I wouldn't be surprised if Corso gets killed before the end of this season.

If One truly remains dead, then it does establish even main characters (or at least, seemingly main) are at risk. A bit of a Game Of Thrones-like effect, but maybe even stronger because it is less obvious who is actually a main character and who may be disposable.

They may be taking the Agents of SHIELD route and make Corso a recurring bad guy, like AoS did for Ward.

Hmm, maybe. The cynical part of me says that if they did decide to write One out because the actor was disappointing, they wouldn't come out and admit it. But looking at it objectively, regardless of my opinion of a particular actor, it's plausible that if a character is an impostor for another person, then the actor could be cast in the dual role with the full intention that one of the two characters would be killed, allowing the actor to remain in the other role.

Jail episodes can be obvious and tedious and halfway through I felt the episode was obvious and tedious. The second half improved and the ending was enough to keep me interested.

In this case, it might actually work better for the actor to play the baddie character cause I could not stand the goodie goodie One. But AoS extending the Ward character actually made me stop watching AoS.

Which would lead to an awkward moment in the office:

"Marc! Good news. We figured out a way to save One. Now, I have to tell you there is a small hitch...Oh, hi Dan. Good to see you again. Can you just wait out front for a minute. This won't take long."

Yep... none of that First Law BS...

    I love this show.

Well, I guess all our speculation was moot. Bendavid is gone from the show, simple as that. That was made clear from the start, when Melissa O'Neil's name was the first one shown after the title card. Maybe Corso will show up as a guest character again, but he won't be a regular.

Speaking of regulars, it's weird that all the reports say that Shaun Sipos is a new regular, but so far his character is barely even registering and just incidentally happened to tag along for the escape. And yet Mike Dopud, whose character is much more prominent so far, is supposedly just a guest star.

Surprising to see Three showing loyalty to his crew. I really thought he'd sell them out. Though that's not as surprising as the dark turn Five took. Wow. And it looks like someone's coming after her too.

One is a real drip, I didn't see all of last season but I didn't care for him at all. I had to laugh when he gets cuckolded by Three with Two, it was like even the showrunners didn't like him.

"And after you klll them all drop your weapons and let's find some non-lethal alternatives so as to not eliminate characters we want to return." :)

"First Law" I don't know the reference? I had heard Adam Carolla joking about how people talk to their mooks and how would they know if something like "take them out" meant escort them outside or put a bullet in their head. One thing is certain 5 is now on the Galactic Authority's wanted list. Assuming she survives the next episode and is not lost in the reboot like 1 and 6 were. Given her character age I guess that she will remain on
