So these books have been popping up in my Amazon "You might want this" list lately. I'm assuming that they're unauthorized. Anybody know anything about them? Are they as good as I would expect from a self-published, unlicensed book series apparently starring "An iconoclast young cyber engineer," or are they better than that?

Pretty sure they're unlicensed. I've had a quick look at the preview Amazon lets you see and I don't think they're for me.

Why is this allowed? Isn't this textbook copyright infringement?

Crappy fanfic, now for just $4.99! I wonder if those covers have anything to do with the stories. Cumberkhan meets DS9? The rabbit from Donny Darko meets Doctor Who?

What would be the best way to go about reporting this stuff to CBS and The BBC?

It has now been reported. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. S&S will handle it from here.

But they're the Invasion / Renegades / New Frontier / Voyager / Next Generation / Deep Space Nine crossovers we've all been clamouring for!

(We *have* been clamouring for that, haven't we?)

Goodness lol this book is now the #1 best-selling Amazon Kindle Star Trek book (for now). Hmmm, so if this book (and his other "Trek" Ebooks) is removed do people who bought it (or got it through Amazon Kindle Unlimited) get to keep it? Hopefully they'd get a refund (am sure not paying $5 (was I think $3 last week) for it though got a sample just for my info).

Oops, actually now the Frank Smith "Star Trek" Kindle books seem to no longer be for sale on Amazon, or available via Kindle Unlimited, so there ya go. But, my sample of Expendables is still on my Kindle (for now), lol.

Some just put it in the wrong category. It is listed as 'Pocket Books/Star Trek' in the product details.

I am now too. Too bad Amazon doesn't have a "notify me when the English translation of this novel comes out" function.

What do we do if by some odd chance someone was reading these works of fanfic that one obtained from kindle unlimited and is crazy curious how the series ends? Do Data, Geordi and, Taryn return back to the present???
