1960s Batman actress Yvonne Craig passed away

I just saw the news over on Facebook. :(

I never got to see or meet her in person but she always seemed like a very nice and talented person and her TV roles were a part of my youth growing up. Batgirl. Marta in TOS. Two of my favorite shows when I was a kid featured Yvonne in very memorable and even prominent roles. She was gorgeous and a lot of fun to watch, and my condolences go out to her family, friends and loved ones.

You were enjoyed. Rest in Peace, good lady.

Earth needs Yvonne more than Mars does. Lovely lady lost.
 
Sad to hear...78 seems too young these days. And I'd just caught her in a random episode of Mod Squad this past weekend.

I met her about 6 or 7 years ago at a convention and she was a very nice person and was very interested in talking with us one on one at her table. She will be missed.

This is a shame, and such a sad way to die. Seventy-eight is indeed too young these days (especially since my mother is 74). My condolences to her family and friends. She had wonderful talent and charisma-- you just couldn't help but focus on her whenever she was on the screen.

RIP and thank you, Yvonne. :(
 
Neither here nor there, but I went to see The Man from UNCLE last night. Before the show, they ran the trailer for One of Our Spies is Missing and I could not help but see Yvonne Craig, despite her only being on screen for a split second.

MeTV in New Jersey shows old Batman and TOS Trek episodes every Saturday night. They're honoring Yvonne tonight with two Batgirl-featuring Batman episodes and the TOS episode "Whom Gods Destroy."
 
Yeah, we have MeTV in Boston, too. I got to see some bits and pieces of it last night.
