Any side profiles? This thing is truly massive, I'd like to see it next to the Spacedock for a sense of scale. What is her intended mission - explore the Andromeda Galaxy?

No other views yet. Not that far into it yet - and I got distracted by something shiny.

When I do work on it some more, I'm probably going to do it after I master the rudimentary aspects of Maya, so I can create the whole ship's overall shape right there in the 3D program (as opposed to trying to guess what things look like from different angles as I draw it out in 2D.)

To me, the most interesting potential for this ship is in the saucer's rim. The best representation of what I'm thinking, is in this screenshot from Star Wars.

Mind you, this pic is of something in an atmosphere on a planet's surface, but you get the idea.

I don't know that I'm all that keen on "other galaxy" stories. The galaxy we're in is plenty big enough to get lost in.

    I agree.

The sloping section above the small craft alcoves would be a bit flatter, recede into the distance, then ziggurat-like rise again, and have spacedock like doors. The curve flattens out agains--and so forth--to your bridge complex/antenna farm that is like the spacedock's top section.

Something else that might also help give an impression of size might also to be to have each deck be a different shaped polygon, as I mentioned elsewhere.

I saw an even better version of this in the Running Press encyclopedia

Imagine super star destroyer level detail on each deck!
