Ezra's sabre may be more of a problem--it would stop fights to soon.

I cross sabers with a villain--he starts monologing--and I just shoot him in the face with his arms tied up blocking my laserblade.

Now if he is wearing zillo beast armor--that is something else.

    On my earlier point:

I thought he looked a bit like Vincent Price, but David Niven does seem to be a bit better match.

Count Dooku didn't seem to have any trouble wielding his saber with one hand.

Indeed. Plus both Ahsoka and Asajj were duel wielders, which means they could only use a one handed grip.

If you watch closely in Episodes II and III, Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi also seemed to prefer a one-handed fighting style.

So the next two Rebels episodes are coming up soon, I'm really hoping we get to see Lando/Cloud City before the end of the season.

S01E08 Path of the Jedi (on Jan 5th)
As he grows as a member of the team, Ezra faces one of his greatest challenges.

    S01E09 Idiot's Array (on Jan 19th)
The wrong gamble with a new acquaintance forces the crew into transporting some unusual cargo.

"Idiot's Array" sounds like a Lando episode. If I recall that is a specific hand of Sabacc. I would assume Lando is either still running around on the Millenium Falcon, or just recently lost it to Han Solo.

Episode 9 with the sabacc references seems like a good bet. ( Not really intended. )

    edit: not fast enough.

I'd freakin love to see Lando piloting the Falcon, but seriously doubt we will.

Or Lando loosing the Falcon to Han? I doubt that'll happen too but really any Lando would be Dand-o. Hopefully it takes place on Cloud City. You know, I don't think there has ever been any exposure on screen of the famed casinos of Cloud City... great work on spotting the Sabbac-lingo! That's very encouraging.

There's an awesome new clip out over at IGN just now with the Yoda (Frank Oz!) scene from Path of The Jedi which is considerably longer (1:00) and more revealing than I'd expected, enjoy:

Just saw Path of the Jedi today on my cable system's On Demand service. I'm not quite sure what to make of the episode as it falls back rather heavily on tried and true "face your fear" Jedi training tactics, but it does have a minor twist in that more than one person's courage is being tested.

But I think the episode will also be notable in that
    Ezra gets his multifunction lightsaber

"Path of the Jedi" is now available On Demand through some providers.

    A fairly mediocre episode.

It definitely loses points for conveniently having a lost Jedi temple on Lothal and being primarily a dream episode. This series so far has me pining for the Clone Wars' ability to hop around the galaxy and depict new planets/settings every episode or story arc. By contrast, Rebels seems low-budget and constrained to re-using the same sets/CG models over and over.

The episode is completely redeemed, however, by the voice cameo of Frank Oz's Yoda. Clearly based on his OT Yoda voice work, Oz was a wonderful breath of fresh air. His little chuckle in the middle of a line made me smile with fond memories of ESB.

It was so great hearing the "real" Yoda again, that the rest of the episode can be forgiven its failure to engage my interest.

    Vader "Nooooooooo."
    What's plot B?

PS. I feel that way about the location/budget too.

Yep, it is. Funny what they mine out of the EU.

Not sure Lando fits but of course it depends on the story.

It's the highest hand of Sabacc. To win Sabacc, your hand needs a score of 23. An Idiot's Array is a 2, a 3, and the Idiot, or literally "23".

No B plot for this episode, sorry to say. Just a whole lot of Ezra and a dash of Kanan.

Well here's an interesting spoilerish bit of news regarding a supporting Clone Wars era character that will probably appear in an upcoming episode of Rebels:

Wullf Yularen, older white uniform style - like his appearance in ANH on the Death Star but also in the signature Rebels Star Wars Lego packaging. Of course Yularen became a "real" character in multiple episodes of The Clone Wars as Anakin's fleet commander, and maybe some fans will be surprised to know he is also an on-screen character who appears in ANH.

    Here's a pic

Looking forward to see how it all fits together, if true!

Have to agree that the temple being on the same planet kinda cheapened it, but it was nice to see a different approach to the test and it felt good to hear the old codger again and to know that he really is out there, meditating and keeping track of what's going on.

I liked him in TCW. It would be interesting to see him in Rebels.

Yeah no real surprises in tonights episode. But learning more of the Jedi's philosophy and training methods is always welcome.

Plus I think I finally like Ezra. Quite a change from the obnoxious know-it-all street rat from the first few episodes.
