Cute, but not how could it be to the minute? I can see how you could infer roughly the time of day by the shadows, but not to the minute.

Ever heard of sundials? The movement of the Sun through the sky was the original clock, and the length of a shadow at a given time on a given date can be calculated pretty precisely. Those shadows do seem to match pretty much exactly. If it's not to the exact minute, it's at least within a window of just a few minutes.

That's pretty awesome. I love Trek fans! Honestly, it's the type of pilgrimage that I would make if I wasn't one the wrong coast. Kudos for having the foresight to do this awesome homage!!
