I never knew why Geordi said "not bad, wes". I'm going through TNG again. A while back, when I was still on season one, I watched that episode. It seemed odd with the way Geordi said.

It works very well. From a certain point of view.

For what it's worth, Wil himself takes an awful lots of selfies these days, too.

But consider this: What Geordi dialogue, throughout Trek history, ISN'T odd?

Geordi is a non-entity to me, just a awkward filler character that there's no reason to dislike or even notice.

I always loved Geordi & was glad the few times they ever actually gave him an episode.

Geordi was a total waste of Burton.

Early "wooo-hooo!" Geordi the blind driver was so much more fun.

The labradoodle is Izzy, the wiener dog is Kaylee, and the hound dog is Bella. :)

Kaylee is just absolutely adorable... but I have a weakness for wiener dogs. Love them! And she is so cute I could just pee!

    Doggies! :D

I've just come back from a two-week visit to see my brothers. My brother who lives near Amsterdam also flew over to Toronto, and the two of us spent most of our time with our brother who lives in Central Ontario. We had quite a bit of winter weather, and on a morning walk along his rather long driveway to his mailbox I spotted pawprints in the snow.

    Deer prints, I think...

    ...and bunny rabbit. :)

On the not so cute and fluffy side, we came across black ice while my brother was driving me and our other brother to his place in his pickup truck, the one I always loved to drive whenever I visit. We spun 180 degrees before rolling over into the ditch, first on the driver's side, where both my brothers were sitting, and then onto the roof. We are, amazingly, all injury-free. What saved us was the strength and size of the truck cab and--I cannot emphasise this enough--the seatbelts. We wouldn't be here had we not been wearing them.

The side of the truck it first rolled onto:

The roof, or at least what was left of it:

My brother has a new truck now, a sparkling new Nissan Frontier in "arctic blue". For the first two days he had it I teased him that he had the only clean truck in central Ontario. The Nissan dealership gave him $100 for his old truck, which is probably its entire scrap value.

And I'll say it once more: Seatbelts. They save lives. Always, always wear yours.

That must have been really scary. I'm glad everyone is ok.

I'm in the Dominican Repiblic right now and took this photo a few nights ago around sunset.

I suffer from anxiety on a good day so you can imagine the mental wreck I was afterwards. We were caught in a snowstorm on the road a few days later and I had a rather spectacular meltdown. Bless my brothers for putting up with me.

Very happy to hear that everyone is OK, mac. Cars can be replaced; human lives cannot.
