If you were Kevin Feige, who would you cast in Captain Marvel movie? I hate to admit this, but I think Jennifer Laurence would be an excellent edition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yvonne Strahovski and/or Sarah Michelle Gellar would also make excellent, but kicking Captain Marvels.
Jennifer Lawrence is already in X-Men. As for Captain Marvel, Jessica Chastain jumped out at me right away and Yvonne Strahovski seems like a decent choice but I'm leaning toward Margo Robbie. Her career is taking off so I can see her as a viable contender.
Interesting choice. She will definitely be able to fill out the costume, unfortunately I don't know about her acting abilities. I need to see her in something besides "The Other Woman."
I think Yvonne Strahovski would be great for the part. Natalie Dormer has already been in the MCU - she was in Captain America: The First Avenger. http://marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com/wiki/Lorraine
Katheryn Winnick can kick some butt. http://www.trailercodes.com/tv/vikings--rites-of-passage/lagertha-fights-off-intruders
There was a point in Torchwood where the government had to sacrifice ten percent of their children nationally, and they're trying to determine the process to see which children are going to be fed to aliens as narcotics. Random or even distribution seemed fair, which is when the posh one insists that they should get rid of the poor idiots and that this is why they have standardized testing to separate the useful children from the disposable children. Has any one checked the BOTW results against this list of actresses to see who is the most "popular"?
I'd cast someone in her mid-late 20s, as the older one casts, the more one is likely to have to work around pregnancy issues, unless one casts significantly older, which Marvel's not gonna do. I'd also cast a natural blonde or one who can pass for the same, to contrast with Wonder Woman. I regret that I cannot provide a more specific recommendation at this time.
Was going to post exactly this. Edge of Tomorrow was a fantastic film and she was a big part of what made it all work together so well.
Upton, Blunt, both would be great choices but after seeing her bit on 24 Yvonne Strahovski would be a great choice.
I'd say Emma Stone, except I really want Sony to resurrect her as Spider-Gwen. Maybe Rachel Nichols or Tricia Helfer. Or how about Janet Varney?
IIRC she was at one stage in advanced negotiations for the role of Black Widow. I think it may only have been timing that nixed that casting. If she and Marvel hit it off during all of that, it wouldn't surprise me if they returned to her for this role.
Seriously? An actress shouldn't get cast because she might get pregnant? Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson have both had children since being cast in Marvel films (and Johansson is in her mid-late 20s). Hayden Panettiere and Blake Lively are also both in their mid-late 20s and are pregnant, so being in mid-late 20s doesn't stop a woman from becoming pregnant. I don't think "the possibility of becoming pregnant at some point in the next five years" should really be a concern.
Indeed. You might as well say that the older a male actor, the likelier it is that the production will have to work around his broken-bone issues, as was the case with Harrison Ford a few months back on Star Wars Episode VII. There's never a perfect guarantee about any actor's availability. But movies can rearrange their schedules when they have to.
