The scene I like best is the first one. The one with Tuvok going through Pon Farr and the doctor injecting him while continuing his operatic performance.
I'm not sure if these are the exact words to the doctor's song, but I found this part especially funny "Paris please find a way, to load a hypospray. If you would be so kind, please aim for his behind". Also, if it hasn't been mentioned yet. Doc's "deathbed" confession in Renaissance Man. And everyone's reaction to them.
Oh yes, the Doc was always funny, also in the episode Virtuoso: JANEWAY: I see. Well in any case, you've been neglecting your Sickbay duties. I haven't received a report in three days. EMH: Oh, come now, Kathryn. It's not as though there's been a flood of medical emergencies. JANEWAY: I wasn't aware we were on a first name basis. EMH: I, I meant Captain. I'm sorry. JANEWAY: Oh, that's perfectly all right, Doctor, or do you prefer Maestro? EMH: Oh, please. Either is acceptable. JANEWAY: Well, then, let me make it clear to both of you. Maestro, you're finished for today. Doctor, report to Sickbay. Now. Well, actually the scene is funnier, than the transcript!
Also very funny from Virtuoso when they are in engineering working on modifications to the lecture hall TORRES: What's wrong with the sight lines? EMH: If you consider the height of the average Qomar, it's obvious that anyone seated in the back five rows will have an obstructed view. TORRES: You're right. They won't be able to see anything but the top of your head. The glare could blind them.
In Drone, the Doctor is very anxious for Torres to get up and get to work on seeing what's wrong with his mobile emitter. He wakes her up early saying "Early bird gets the gagh", when she had the morning off and was going to sleep in. He's like, "You're worried about a few more minutes of unconciousness when my freedom is at stake" (It was freedom he said and not existence wasn't it?). She turns off the monitor next to her bed and goes to get in the shower. He activates another monitor that's actually in the bathroom (not a great idea to put one there IMO) just as she takes her gown off. She whirls around, holding the gown in front of her and yells at him. He says "I'm a doctor, not a peeping Tom".
LOL, I always wondered why there would be a video monitor in the bathroom. But I love how he says "It's nothing I haven't seen before"
Ideally, you would be able to see the person contacting you, but they wouldn't be able to see you. Unless it was an emergency or you enabled visual contact (suppose, for instance, that you were hiding in the shower fully clothed while an intruder searched your room)
^ Depends on the circumstances, I suppose. It's for the same reason there's a window in some bathrooms; escape/calling for help.
I am not sure that was the reason for those windows. For one thing, they are sometimes too small for someone of normal size to get through them.
Why would you go to the bathroom, if there is any of those things? Wouldn't it make more sense to find the exit or failing that a big room with plenty of air and bigger windows, if you want to escape.
I think they have panic rooms in hurricane countries that are a bit more solid and bigger than bathrooms. You'd better that room than the bathroom in case of an alert.
