    Does Kurtzman even sleep?

It looks like they’re filming a pilot episode first, so it shouldn’t impact any of the Star Trek shows.

It says it’s an MGM production but it’s being filmed by CBS at their studio.

Clearly, Kurtzman is a synth. But...
the new production is probably being run by his synth twin.

Kurtzman has a lng ways to go before he's an Abrams, or a Wolf or a freaking Berlanti.

Kurtzman has more shows in production than Abrams, and unlike Wolf and Berlanti, he’s day to day hands on with his own shows. I’m guessing that will change this year.

A Trek production connection doesn’t make this a Trek project. I’ve moved this to a more appropriate forum.

It’s something that impacts the future of Trek, in that it will probably cause another production some delays.

I believe Kurtzman has minions to do the heavy lifting.

A purely speculative connection. And this is all one big Trek BBS, so Trek fans will see it here.

Only when he writes or watches his TV shows.

Everything I have heard is he's still the head of Star Trek but is slowly being shown the door. I don't think it will cause any issues at all.

That he signed years ago and there has been change in company power and even a merger. The new leadership doesn't like how things are going which is why there have been so many news articles on show runner changes and things.

The latest rumour, because they can't fire him of the contract, they want to push him out and save face so they let him make the Silence of the Lambs and then he won't be as hands on.

And normally I wouldn't trust internet / YouTube rumours, but they were right about a bunch of other things too.

Either way I don't care, I just hope the show is good so maybe we can finally get Byran Fuller's Hannibal season 4.

I would love to see Hannibal season 4 but their is no way this show will be any good. AA show brought you by the people who made "Discovery" sounds like something that will not be good.

And? :shrug:There is a new president and the company has merged. The rumour is the new powers don't like that he doesn't follow canon as much or something.

Either way, I don't care. But I rather watch TNG or DS9 before what he has made. The first episode of Picard was fine. It's just there and if I wanted to watch Serenity I would just watch it. It's all whatever to me.

They don't care about canon. Most of them probably don't even know what it means. Way below their pay grade. That the rumor involves canon tells me it's bogus.

I guarantee you that Kurtzman is the most senior person at ViacomCBS that gives a shit about canon. It’s a joke anyone thinks otherwise.

Anne Winters’s screen test / audition is up on Vimeo. Seems to confirm it’s set right after the movie.

There might be marketing directors who have identified it as something part of their core audience is interested in.
