Edit: I am not sure if I can enter my own Challenge...so if I cannot, that is cool, and just use this as an example of an entry idea. Again, I have very little to no knowledge of the process to all this.

So here is my Enterprise for the Challenge. I am putting this here rather than just submitting it, because we still have a good amount of time for me to possibly change/refine the design, or do a scene with it. I am also open for a collaboration on the design if anyone is interested, just PM me.

    Enjoy:

Out of the box indeed, it looks both WW-1 era aircraft with steampunk and anime SF mixed into it, so yup love it! :mallory::D:techman:

Nice design! To me this somewhat looks like it might have been inspired by a cleat turned upside down.

Also, that's a nice emulation of Jefferies' drawing style!

    lol, thanks bro :)

It is and it is not. It is a nacelle by definition of what a nacelle is, but it is not as it is also an impeller and projector for FTL. If you look closely, the 3/4 image shows a "beam" if you will. That "beam" is both directed towards its destination, and where the vessel left, simultaneously. Visually, think of the Light Sailer from Tron. The Vessel must disengage the FTL drive to change course or fly blindly into the void. The projection points are totally needed in order to not fly into something or be lost.

Thanks! I hadn't realized the cleat analogy...lol Awesome! I also, was not intentionally emulating Jefferies...But I guess I did to a degree subconsciously. A win as well :D

    LOL

Thanks bro! She was not inspired by the awesome Ekranoplans... I hadn't been cleaver enough to look to them as inspiration. I just popped this one out of my head.

    Thanks bro!

Nice shuttle, great details, I hope someone will 3D this design, also, really nice that you're doing this like it's been drawn on an old blackboard.:mallory:

Thanks! I wanted to do this all in pencil (at least at this stage), and invert the colours exactly for that effect. :D
