My vote would be YES, provisionally, to check up on him. Q always did think of Picard as a friend and this evolution in their relationship would be nice for me to see. I'm not saying Picard likes Q and wants him dropping by, but the Q in 'All Good Things' did help Picard & Humanity, and I can see him wanting to check in with Picard, whether Picard likes it or not.
CGI. Between "Rogue One" that used CGI for Peter Cushing and Carrie Fisher (which was rather good, all things considered) and now, the technology will have improved and would be cheaper to get at. Even at RO's quality, it's sufficient. Ooooh, good point! Q looking older just to mock Picard sardonically. It's very much in character...

Yes. I loved John DeLancie, and nobody else as Q really made an impact to me. He is first and one real Q, at the same time playful, harsh and determined to teach humans a lesson.
I see no reason to need a Q like character to teach humanity lessons. I thought humanity had evolved?
