We all remember the big moments... Voyager being hurled away to the Delta Quadrant, the first time we see the Borg here, Seven of Nine's introduction, Voyager escorted by other Starfleet ships go Earth. But what about the tiny moments? This series has a lot of them peppered throughout its run. What are your favorites? I will begin. "DEADLOCK" - When the Vidiians enter the bridge, Janeway simply welcomes them... seconds before the self-destruct blows them all to pieces. I just loved that confidence in the face of certain death. It was almost Klingon of her... laughing right in death's face basically saying, "Yeah, I am dead. But I'm taking all these organ stealing bastards with me."
Tom Paris hearing the sound of his crying newborn daughter via Intercom and his facial expression. Great moment! And Reg and Admiral Paris being surprised by Voyager's return.
^Adding onto that, I love the melancholy-ness of them realizing their adventure is over, and Janeway saying "Mr. Chakotay, the helm," and seeing Voyager reunited with the rest of Starfleet.
This is a really little moment, lol, but I look for it. "Critical Care" on the bridge Janeway trying to get information from Gar's mistress who thinks Janeway wants him all for herself... It's not that, it's just I already have a man... grabs Tuvok's hand
Tuvok's expression, it's hard to describe. Embarrassment? Then Tom's look of shock and Harry's barely contained grin.
Blood Fever- the expression on Chakotay's face when Tom reports back that B'Elanna bit him. State of Flux- the exchange between Chakotay and Tuvok in the mess hall at the end of the ep. Message in a Bottle- the expression on Janeway's face after Seven shocks the Hirogen Drone- as One lies on the bio-bed Seven saying You must comply. Please. You are hurting me. ...and a billion more. There are many great, smaller moments in this series.
"ELOGIUM" - Tuvok, "It appears we have lost our sex appeal." Vulcans don't have a sense of humor? Bull. Best line of the first season.
Tom's revenge on the Doctor for the holonovel in Author, Author by making his own version of it. And these lines in it, "Remember, patience is a virtue". And "It's the Doctor's world, you're just living in it".
Parturition, the episode where Tom had a fight with Neelix and they spilled food onto themselves. Hilarious. The spagetthi brawl. And how they rolled on the floor....
I'd say all (though they weren't as numerous as I would have wished) Janeway/Tuvok and Janeway/Paris moments.
When Tuvok was reporting to Janeway about the petty crimes committed aboard ship in Survival Instinct: "There is another page ... ."
From "State of Flux," Chakotay to Tuvok on discovering Seska was a Cardassian spy: "You were working for her [Janeway], she was working for them -- was anybody on that ship working for me?" From "The 37s," Janeway and Chakotay walk to the hangar bay, to see which of the crew has decided to remain behind. He puts his hand on her shoulder to show his support, and the door opens to reveal that no one is inside. From "Scientific Method," Tuvok pulls a manipulated Janeway back to reality. When she demands punishment for misbehaving (and also manipulated) crew members, her security officer says drily, "Should I have them flogged as well?"
Speaking of "STATE OF FLUX"... when Chakotay activates The Doctor to confront Seska. As far as I can recall, that is the only time in the series when someone activates him by saying "Emegency Holographic Medical program". He is the EMH, not EHM. I always laugh at that bit for some reason, despite it likely not being intentional.
In "The 37s" Tom starts the 1936 Ford, and it backfires. The look on Tuvok's face, and the way he moves around, with his phaser ready."
Reg Barclay establishing contact via Pathfinder despite the doubts of Commander Harkins and Admiral Paris. Reg was cute when he looked almost dejected when the first short contact with Voyager ended. Another little funny moment: The Doctor aboard Prometheus trying to pilot the ship with the other EMH. How they tried to push some buttons and got emergency klaxons for it.....
On the Prometheus, when the ships asks "Specify Attack pattern!" Doctor: "Attack pattern... Alpha" He obviously grabbed it out of thin air. The ship: "Specify target!" Both say "Romulans" The Doc strongly, and the Mark II, played by Andy Dick, says it almost as a question.
I always liked the scene at the start of Fury where Tuvok blows out his birthday candles and says “It was a fire hazard.”
