    Probably not, since there is an animated series slated for that premise.

    How do you know this? As far as I know they only announced that comedy Lower Decks series which seemingly will be situated on a space ship and another animated series for children. I don't think though they said anything else so far about the children series, what it will be all about.

    I thought they had mentioned (or registered) a title for an Academy series. I could be wrong though.

    I'm pretty sure the academy series is live-action, the show developers were named months ago albeit unofficially. But, plans change...

    The Academy series came from the same rumour mill as the Georgiou Series IIRC.
